Sorry to hear your sad news, only ever had one cat, a lovely Persian. Had loads of dogs as I also foster. Every time we loose one I take a day off work. Take care.

I'm sorry to read this.

I'm not a cat person but a cat has adotped me since I made her a stair for her to get over the fence. She's getting on a bit and her 'real owner' asked if I had any spare wood when building my fence. So I duly knoked something up overnight. Next day I foound something hanging from the stair, it was a bag with a bottle of wine in it, thanking me. It wasn't bad either.

Sorry to hear this, pets as others have said are part of the family.

My 9 year old granddaughter's cat was run over earlier in the year and it had quite an affect on her. Ok accidents happen and unfortunately it is always a risk with a cat, but like many, this tosser didnt stop although clearly knew they had done it (they were seen) they were driving far too fast despite there being a roundabout / crossing point / and lots of open space. In all honesty if I had been given their details I would have made them feel sorry.

So sorry and yes agree with all the sentiments here, I have lost two dogs in my life one after fifteen years the next after twelve absolutely devastated me both times.
Best advice I can give is get another, once you have had pets in the house it just isn't the same with out one. Present dog seven years, worth her wiegh in gold. ( Don't tell Wattie)

Sadly I have had to bury several cats in our last house as it was on a busy road.
Thankfully we have moved and seem to be a bit luckier although 2 now have gone due to age. We lost a dog to epilepsy, she died in my arms and I still well up now, our first Alsatian was put to sleep and every now and then I shed a tear for him.
God knows how I will cope with the current dog when his time comes!
That’s not to mention the two cats as well, both of whom are approaching middle cat age.

I have 2 maine **** cats now but I have had dogs most of my life. Was never a cat person really until I did the usual expat thing here and rescued a kitten In Spain.
Maine coons are very interactive sometimes more dog like than cat.
Sorry to hear about your cat .:(

That's what my neighbour's cat is in the picture. She used to be bigger and more active but is now of advanced age, hence the stairs.

I'm now working on a Stannah for it... ;)
