I’ve had to reflect, i really like it. It’s bold, new, light and modern. Well done at last Maserati.

I still think they should make an Alfieri as a replacement for the GTS. Different markets with 4 seats and tourer versus manic revving weekend car.

Then make normal versions of each plus electrified versions with mental added power.

Strategy sorted!

That's a very brave thing to say on here, considering how many of us have modified exhausts on their Masers!
Yes I know, I love a nice voice, but soon tire of hearing shouting.

The car does look better than all the renderings I have seen, but why to Lambo doors? Is this just to attract the new Facebook money?

If it was to stop them catching on curbs, the Aston has a far more attractive set up with the old Vantage.

Interesting they went with dual clutch, when the 8SP ZF would have been easier. This is a sign of intent. The carbon tub also puts them in a league of two alongside McLaren. Eat that Ferrari.

Carbon tubs often have really large sills meaning getting in means stepping into the seat. Getting the door out the way is useful in this scenario. Lotus have a similar issue and have worked hard to improve accessibility (although not carbon) and the Aston Rapide I test drove also had the issue as a result of the very good and stiff yet large aluminium structure it uses. I suspect you are right however that it is partly for show!

Loving it Maserati back in the game, just hope the price is not totally silly so some of you can buy it and then sell it them to me in a few years with normal Maserati depreciation - I suspect not though

It's as much as I hoped for and better than I expected and so good to see them back where they belong.
Out of my price range unfortunately but I can dream - even at my age. Quite happy to take on a members 2 seat Stradale when they decide to trade up though.

From Goodwood.Com:

To UK spec with carbon brakes, the MC20 will cost £187,230 on the road – or £20k more than the McLaren GT which Maserati has set its sights on, along with the Lamborghini Huracan.

Shame a V6 and not a V8, but these days, that is minor.
I think it looks stunning and if I was ever in a position to buy, I would have it over everything else in the same ilk.

Using modular building techniques, surely a V6 at 3 litres would possibly mean a 4 litre V8...

Have they said anything about RHD?

Interesting who they chose to do the launch they’re obviously aiming at a far trendier demographic than us lot.
