Brake Fluid Change QPV

Hi. My QPV is in need of a brake fluid change. It has been noticeably spongy since a few hot authobahn slowdowns, and although safe (it's since gone through MOT with good brake readings) I want to get it done. Pads and discs are relatively new and in good condition. no glazing etc.

I'm getting tyres done soon, so contemplating asking for the fluid change to be done at the same time. Not sure where the tyres are coming from yet, but in my area likely to be National or a small independent garage. Is this asking for trouble, or are Maseratis reasonably "standard" in terms of the braking system?

I am capable /competent of doing it myself (2 person method), and have noted the advice about keeping the reservoir full and risks around the ABS pump getting air inside, but if a garage is reasonably priced then it will save me time and hassle. Nearest Maserati specialist to me is a 250 mile round trip, so that adds a lot of £ as no other servicing is due at the moment.

I'm relatively new to Maserati ownership and servicing so still finding my feet with some of the simpler stuff :) Thanks for any advice / info on past experiences.

I've used this https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/guns...MI_qmCtYjh6gIVcYBQBh00nQBFEAQYAyABEgLlBPD_BwE
So simple but you need a 'spare' tyre set to 20 psi to provide the pressure, which you should have at least four of. (Don't use a compressor!)

If you're local to me I can help. (Surrey)

Thanks, that is a bit better value and I might go down that route, and also means I don't need to wait 3 weeks for my other half to return from a family visit! Patience isn't my thing...

And thanks for the offer of help, though I'm in North Wales so a little out of the way.

Incidentally, what size spanner is the bleed nipple on the QP? Might do it "properly" and get the correct tool, instead of the usual fiddle with standard spanners.

I believe it's a 10mm but could be wrong. May I put you in the direction of my boy 'Normal guy Supercar', the brakes will be similar.
