hope all are well...

I have just taken my Gransport for a bit of a thrash around the Surrey lanes, and it was awesome! it may not have been an essential journey, but it was fabulous to be back behind the wheel and hearing the sound of the V8...

I think I may have scared several groups of cyclists by changing down from 3rd to 2nd just to hear the snarl and pops, and I was routinely accelerating hard, then lifting off to hear the pop.. pop... pop as the engine overruns.

Once the lockdown is over I think I’m going to change my H-pipe to an X-pipe to hear what that sounds like with the Larini decat race pipes. However, suspect I will try to drive to an empty stretch of road and record the current setup first, so that I can do a proper comparison.

As far as I’m aware, it’s no longer against the law. You can go out but ‘stay alert’. Glad you’ve enjoyed it, some lovely roads down by you. I’ve some lovely ones by me, but can’t use them as they’re in Wales.

I think as long as you’re going for clandestine meetings with GlaxoSmithKline and you’ve got the cabinet’s ******** in a vice with a cupboard of shame you’re alright.

We broke the rules today.....our good friends came round for a chat in garden....sat 2-2.5m away.

However they had my germs on their pint glasses for shandies all round....antiseptic wipes were offered..

Luckily I cut the pap perch down last week so there will be no long range photos...

I suspect there are plenty of us on here and journalists doing the same....or similar....

Nope, not a single rule broken but wondering why at the moment. Not because of what you have just said. Just because everybody seems to be breaking the rules so why am I bothering?

Surely others are in the same position and thinking the same think. Maybe you are just a little ahead of me Dave and have been thinking the same thing as well?

That’s exactly what we talked about.
we could have met them in the park 60m away....and sat 2m apart, 1 at a time perhaps...but as I said...there is tons of room in our garden, so spacing wasn’t an issue....hand sanitizer on table etc

Was it ever against the law. Don't think they ever passed a law just a rule, recommendation......Could be wrong though.

I do agree....it doesn't make sense half the time.

I can do no right. If I go out to urgent jobs onsite I get moaned at. Of course the mortgage and bills still need to get paid. With 25% of the food we buy going in the bin!

I can't go to a shop to buy anything but we can get all the cra4p required delivered no problem. There are double standards and inconsistencies all over.

I don't know what to think anymore.

No waste here.....it all gets eaten....very little gets chucked....maybe the odd potato with horns....
Speaking to an ex in South Africa, they can’t buy booze or fags, face covering mandatory and in shops they have to give name, address and tel no....she said it’s really bad...

It was made law in the Corona Virus act 2020.
I’ve stuck to the rules. Not visited anyone. Not had people round. Worked from home. Stuck to the rules to keep my family safe.

Spot on Mark. I know it was law in Wales but didn't think it was in England.....Thought it was more a rule. With you on this one buddy.

How long are you going to do that for then, I'm not getting on public transport or visiting anywhere the masses go but one person, or a few outside for a drink, they're taking about CV19 possibly being around for years , I won't be staying in for years so might as well get it over with, I don't much fancy having a go with a half arsed vaccine either.

This is the thing as well. It is likely we are going to get it at some point. Just get it over with?

Trouble is it only seems from some info that antibodies may only last 6 possibly so does that mean we will just keep getting it?

Yes, just like the flu. Hence why science is searching for a vaccine to boost the immune system.

I heard today that all the tickets that had been handed out as fines for breaking said rules have been scrapped because the police couldnt find any exacting law to charge them with , so that says it all , they were testing our ability to use common sense and by and large the vast majority has including me, I think by and large the scare tactic worked , we are pretty much compliant as a nation given x amount of serious information ...........whether that information be true of false or exaggeated and distorted.

We all do what we have to , to protect those dear to us and credit is due to you all, hopefully we will all look back in 6-9 months and wonder what it all about , and my greatest wish will be the demise of Greta
