Strewth its as if I'd never been away!

Its an infectious forum this guys, wonder why?!

I can feel a stirring in the Maserati section of my brain, or is it the Maserati part of my loins?!

So very wonderful to find so many of the early members still posting and then the blossoming of the SM forum to be acknowledged as the BEST Maserati forum in the known motoring universe!

Good to see you back mate or at least popping in.
I sold my last 4200 the one I took to NZ there in 2018 and now living in the Mayenne with a Renault 4.

Congrats and thanks to you all - I should have joined sooner (it was a couple of years after I'd bought my bundle of trouble and fun) but better late than never. - Here's to the next 10.

There is no Maserati part of any brain. You were correct that the part of your body that thinks about Maseratis is further south.

Good to see you back here, Frank! It's nice to have Phil back in more or less the right timezone as well.

Phil, the Renault 4, thats a bit of a penance, mind you we owned 2 2 CVs back in the day when new, great little cars if a tad fragile in an accident as the missus found out, are you close to Dicks little shack, sorry Chateau?

Very close Frank here in Laval for the last 15 months and just bought a place in Ballots a little further South.
Haven't had the urge to visit Dicks place too much else to see and do in real life :)

Crickey,...Parisien is firmly back, here's to another 30k posts incoming shortly!

FYI, its not just Phil that has gone all French and silly...its catching like the Corona virus, here is my oddball purchase that took 5 years to find...in Ireland of all places in the end.

Having a good time was forbidden on my forum and it seems you lot have learned nothing over the years.
I tolerated Conaero and Loz because of their knowledge of Maseratis but that Parisien and Urby were disruptive and a waste of space.
I vow to return here on a more regular basis when Conaero can install some discipline.
Not one member here would have escaped at least 3 strikes and a ban if I was still in charge
Ah Birdcage . I've missed your relentless Benny baiting.

Isn't Cobratwin pre-purchasing the entire new MC20 stock for Mongolia...that's what I heard anyway ;)

He was great mates with Birdcage wasn't he...this was a classic thread: www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/ghibli.13175/
I have just read that again absolutely brilliant as are many on the forum.
Dave really did live in a fantasy world I believe he was a Coach driver that had many benefits by all accounts.

It's been 8 years for me since I joined this hallowed place.

A place where
  • all things Maserati are venerated;
  • all things humorous are rejoiced; and
  • all things alcoholic are consumed at a most un-God-ly rate.
Like others have said, this forum is responsible for popping my virginity of meeting up with people through the internet! Now don't get me wrong, there are a number of oddballs on here ;) . Luckily Matt and the core-crew are easy-going and love a good laugh.

The latter is why I think this place has done so well. Matt, the mods (past and present) and the core-group of posters, are essentially nice blokes.

Well done to all of you who've been involved in making this place what it is.

I've found my second ever post (my first was just a Hello). It's actually still as useful now for those buying a 4200 as it was then! https://www.sportsmaserati.com/inde...-rough-buying-costs-parking-on-the-road.7356/

My first meet where I met Peter and Dan was in Cheddar Gorge for a charity run called the Pink Pig Run if I remember correctly.
