Morning All,
Woke up to bright skies and now can barely see anything but grey horrible stuff.
Family birthday party tonight....can’t really be arsed.
Have a good weekend,
Dave

I have just opened a letter to me to find that apparently I've opened an account with a company I've never heard of and ordered clothes as it is a statement saying I owe them £132! So good old fashioned identity theft is still a thing then! I've missed their fraud department today but will have to hope my head is clear enough to talk to them tomorrow! I've checked on Experion and sure enough it is on there as a credit check... Doh! One wonders where that came from, I'm pretty careful these days signing up for very little, 97% of emails get dumped, never respond to email links etc. Trouble is now mobile phone texts and calls can be made to appear to be from trusted people, if they can mimic legitimate HMRC numbers, Vodaphone etc. what hope do we have?

Good luck getting that sorted, Newton. I did an Experian thing a couple of weeks ago, and found that Experian thinks I have more credit cards than I think I have. Quite likely it’s an old forgotten one that needs cancelling, but I do need to check.

Morning, all. A day of hvmping* furniture awaits; our inflight home makeover / bathroom / whatever continues.

Good luck to those with hangovers for a speedy return to what passes as normal.

*apparently this is a rude word. I’m not a terrier!

Morning all, got to get on, our younger daughter is having a party tonight here as she is moving north next week. Jeanette and I will take all three dogs to Sally’s as she and hubby are in Jamaica for a couple of weeks. Need to sort this fraud out as well then I may be allowed to play with the Maserati suspension.

Have fun all....

Fraud reported and dealt with (at least this occurrence) and the credit files will be expunged in the next month or so. I'm wracking my noggin thinking where my data leak is but to be honest I am probably averaging three calls a day from 'companies' and the last two months even higher as my phone contract was up. Makes you easy prey if you answer just one and get suckered in: "Can you confirm your full name? Can you confirm the first line of your address? And your post code? And your date of birth?" There you go, all the information they need apparently!
