Not everyone’s cup of tea but the MY10 Calis are starting at mid-60s which is pretty decent value. I know the T is better, but for £35k less I think the regular Cali is plenty fast.

I would personally plough that sort of money in to a nice appreciating classic motor, especially if it's not a daily and you're needing it only for high dry days/weekends

Agreed I would go for a LHD Murcielago LP640 You can get those for 120k euros and it’s more significant than a Cali T.

Hard to compare the two. One is practical enough for a daily with a free service pack and the other is insanely impractical in almost every way.

I agree horses, for courses.
I found a pipe, slippers, mohair jersey and some worthurs online yesterday. Now Sorted.
I think I would Strad it,in Pirelli’s, and keep the £40,000- £50,000 to spend on wine and women......servicing, I believe it’s called.

I used Diablos as my daily cars for 5 years and found them (and Murcis) perfectly practical. Okay, not for lugging rubbish to the tip, for example, but for driving about from a to b, perfectly fine. As practical as most other 2 seaters I’d say.

Yeah, I’m inclined to agree. I love the daftness of the Murcis and they do look immense, but if I expected to jump I’m and use it either daily or a couple of times each week I think I’d feel happier with a Cali T. I suspect people would point and laugh less often, too.

So for the uninitiated, why is a Cali T a much better proposition than a (standard ?) Cali?

For me, aesthetics. Inside and out.
I was expecting some kind of upgrade response FC like a new engine/ suspension etc. That seems a lot of dough for cosmetics?
That said I prefer the new Kylie Jenner to the old one.....that was money well spent.

Oh, I’m sure it has lots of new tech as well and doubtless goes better etc etc. But I couldn’t tell you what.

The Portofino is a beautiful thing. This one especially. I’ll be waiting for these to depreciate.

Im confused now, that looks like a Cali, Cali t, but with a new name and in blue.......for a shed load more. I’ve just looked it up, and I see it’s replaced it.
V nice.
Note to self. Must work and save harder.

Don’t let details get in the way of your conclusions, Wattie. :D
