Folks

After a very quick lesson on GranTurismo alignment please.

Am I right I’m thinking that the GT has some fine adjustments available and then for larger adjustment it requires shims?

And would this be front and rear wheels?

Or am I talking bollox?

Yep shimmed both front and rear and pretty sure it does have some fine adjustments too.

My understanding is that it is shims for caster adjustment, eccentric bolts for camber and adjustable length toe links for toe.

Whereas the coupe is shims for everything except toe adjustment.

This is correct. We have a set of shims but not used any yet on cars we have had done.

Everything else is adjustable and all have been shockingly out on the rears.

I was under the belief that castor is not adjustable. It falls into line when camber and toe are set correctly. Anyone confirm this?

Recently had my alignment done and, as above, castor was adjusted with shims.

This ^^^^

The shim thickness moves the position of the lower suspension ball joint relative to the top one, adjusting the caster (or king pin inclination if you prefer) In most cases it is probably going to be ok anyway, it’s unlikely to change.
