Wheel bolt covers

Does anyone know if there are wheel bolt covers available for the 4200? Alternatively are there any aftermarket wheel bolt sets available? Was hoping to improve mine without painting them.

I got some plastic chrome ones for the QP a while back off Ebay. They were fine and looked OK. However I had the wheels refurbed and they couldn't get half them off so most perished on removal. Might be OK if they were lightly greased inside when putting them on first time to allow easier removal.

I wouldn't have thought it was too hard to rub down, treat and repaint the original ones though.

I bought a set last year, 22mm I seem to recall, these were chrome but decided to spray them silver but as Rockits says they're a pain to take off which finished them off on my first wheel removal but might help with Rockits idea of a drop of grease on them.
If the reason you didn't want to paint yours was because your thought it would be long winded you could always do what I did, I bought a tin of silver paint(in my case it was Hycote Hyundai Sleek Silver) and a small artist brush, sprayed some paint in the spray paint tin lid and painted the ends of the bolts in situ which worked well, do it quite quick before the spray starts going off in the lid because you will end up with brush marks if it's too dry. Take under 5 minutes to do all 20 bolts.
This week I'm replacing my wheel centre caps and I won't be putting my old ones on ebay,lol

My short lived wheel bolt covers.

Ive used these covers..My T5 has had them on for nearly five years..and I dont regularly remove the rims. I pulled all the wheels off recently and didnt have an issue with any of them...!
I recently fitted them to my 4200 and used a silicon release agent.A quick squirt and you shouldnt have any issues IME. A light greasing would achieve the same thing, Im sure....

I bought some security bolds for the GT. They come with chrome caps and a little removal 'tool' . So far holding up well!

I have a spare set of brand new bolts which you can have for £180.

would these fit the 3200GT hopefully yes as they are 22mm bolts also

Just had my wheels done so will be getting some of these to complete the refresh!

Yes they do ...searched on eBay for 22mm
