Decided to take the wife and the red mistress to Paris to make the best of this glorious first week end of Spring.
I left the kids at home with the in laws, packed the car and drove down Friday morning.
The car was 100% flawless over the 1,000km to Parks and back... what a wonderful trip.
I know this isn’t a Ferrari forum, but early morning pictures of Paris and fast italian cars should still appeal to petrolheads

Very nice. Never been to Paris, not sure why but should I feel.
You should definitely go. Once you’ve accepted its full of French and there’s not much you can do about that, you can only love this city.
Gorgeous sights, food and wine... start with a week end and avoid July/August no different from any major tourist destination I guess

It’s a must. We take it for granted being so close to the great cities of the world. Cheap as chips flights and some of the best architecture / artwork on the planet. I lived there for 6 months in total and visited around 50 times and still not seen enough

Agree- I forget the major problem is that it’s full of arrogant parisiens

It is a great city but Parisians are strange even by French standards, lovely shots of the Fezza

Since living in France I love Paris probably my favourite big city.
Parking is a nightmare so I would plan that first.
Fantastic pictures though :)

What a great post. I've been to Paris a few times, enjoyed it, but long ago. I'm sure it has changed immensely. A return trip may be in order.

Lovely photos, is it always that quiet? I had visions of Paris being a car nightmare - that looks quieter than Brightlingsea!

Early on a Sunday morning in summer... first light and Paris is a nice drive... after 7:00 and it is just like every other city...chocker.

Do you recommend the F430?
Do they feel as special as they look...heightened sense of occasion and 'feel good' factor?

Definitely a nightmare - with the added stress of getting the car keyed.
You have to leave nice cars in underground car parks.
Early Sunday morning and post yellow vest protest made for a quieter city than usual. It felt very special to say the least!!

I absolutely love mine. It is my first Ferrari and feels so special to me. The sound, the feel, the precision of the steering and the pedigree make it incredible. It is as fast as I can wish for - not sure why anyone needs anything faster than 3.7sec and 200mph.
I have owned many 911s and a granturismo - it is a league above it.
Only downside is the attention is draws outside of London which is so used to them.
They are a sizeable cash outlay at first, but probably a cheaper car to own than a Maserati when considering the depreciation, while the running cost is roughly the same.

Do you have manual or F1?
F1 - despite what people might say, I don’t see the point of a manual F430... gearbox and power train was designed as an F1 and it just works perfect together.
Anything pre F430 gen (599 is the same) I would clearly go manual though

I would steer clear of Paris with a nice car given all the trouble there at the moment.
