Hi All,

James here and a newbie to all things Maserati and all things in this forum too!

I'm just over a week down the line of owning a 2016 GranTurismo Sport in white. So far I'm a very happy bunny with my first dalliance with an Italian car. My previous car history has been mostly German, the last being a G15 BMW 840i Coupe. I almost replaced it with the M850i but didn't find its V8 turbo block anywhere near as exciting as the Maserati when I test drove both examples back before Christmas. After making my decision to go for a GT, I spent a couple of months researching, reading and reviewing before finally taking the plunge!

Here's to looking forward to many years of enjoyment (and perhaps needing to deal with some Maserati 'characteristics' along the way) :)

Thanks all! I wasn't originally considering white as an option until I saw this one. The black details create a contrast which I thought just accentuated the bodywork even more - which meant I had to have it!

Congratulations and welcome to the fold. Where did you buy it? I don’t recall seeing one with Stradale wheels for sale that’s unless it’s this one which is still listed:

@dickygrace - I picked it up from Landbeasts in Hainault, North East London. It had been on the market since around late November I think. The pistonheads ad has now gone but I've noticed the Autotrader one is still up here

Yes it’s the one I thought, looks a lovely car, congratulations.

Thanks! If it hadn't have worked out then I would have been contacting you to look at a black one you had recently (I trust it is sold now also? Was around £42k ... stradale wheels, yellow calipers) - those were the two that I had whittled down to (I had a list of about 30!) - Sadly, I am in Southampton and so getting up to Chester was a much longer trek than North London!

One thing I note about all your ads - the colour is listed explicitly. Apart from knowing mine is white (obviously), I don't know exactly which white it is. I trust there were two types. Do you know how I can find this out? It doesn't appear to be a code on the VIN

Yours is Bianco Eldorado, there should be a sticker under the bonnet close to the hinge. Alternatively ask your local main dealer for a spec check, they’ll need the chassis no. Mine is still for sale here:

A big warm welcome and what a stunning GT.

Thanks Andy! I'm loving your list of historical vehicles, particularly the 'M's. My personal favourite 'M' is the E36 M3 Coupe Evo ... trouble is finding one that isn't thrashed to ****!

Thanks - I'll go confirm under the bonnet now

I must have missed that you still have the black one when checking your stocklist again recently - it's a beauty
Thanks for saying so, it’s a lovely car and now the best value GT Sport for sale so I don’t think it’ll be here long.

Yellow calipers. You can join the SM splinter group. And if Markmas comes along spouting rubbish about superior red you can ignore him.
