    Pic of the day

Always loved the Facel-Vega. A guy who lived near us when I was a nipped had one.

I suppose once you’ve visited there you need to be careful how you tell people where you’ve been. “Ive been in William all day” might raise a few eyebrows

I think the Americans have copied that. ;)

Thanks for the offer Sam. I’ve found both books on eBay for about £20 including post so I might as well do that rather than risk yours in the post. I’m taking note of all the tips and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in to the books.

I can see your point as I’m folically challenged to say the least:)

Sounds great fun doing it as a group. That’s very kind of you which books do you have Sam, I’ve ordered to two that Zagatoes pictured. First decisions made are 3 weeks a muscle car and probably roadside motels. I’ve got a couple of companies pricing something up for me then it’s down to loads...

Sounds like a good idea. I must admit looking at some of the travel company itineraries it’s a tight schedule. I’ve ordered the guides so we can look through those and get some ideas. Thanks for the info.

Thank you. I’ll have a look out for those. Did you go with an official itinerary or did you sort it all yourselves?

If you’d let me know the names of the books that would be great. I’m leaning towards the muscle car/motel way of doing it.

    Route 66

2023 sees both myself and Mrs. 1963 turning 60 and to soften the blow we thought that we would like to drive Route 66. Has anybody on the forum done it? As I see it there’s 3 ways to do it, by car and hotel, in an RV or as part of an official tour on a coach. I’ve ruled the coach out straight...

    Maseratis - Spotted

Various Maserati plus Lamborghin, Jaguar XKR and a few other rather nice cars heading in convoy in the opposite direction to me around Spean Bridge.

    GTechniq

I’ve used the C4 trim restorer on Mrs1963s SLK and it does a fantastic job and has so far lasted 9 months.

The boat thread - an even shorter road to financial ruin?

Same here phil, like flies around sh1t. Nowhere to be seen when your putting 50 litres of fuel in the tanks or flushing and cleaning down afterwards.
