thanks for the replies. An independent can do a proxi alignment using the diagnostic tester But I need updated software Due to version change. By the way the quote just arrived £6192 for the NIT unit that I already have!!!!

I replaced my faulty HW7 unit with the HW8 unit both with Bose.The replacement purchased on EBay. Maserati dealer won’t reprogrammed the cars proxi software unless they supply the unit at circa £5000. I think this is outrageous. My options are to appeal to Maserati or go back to a version 7 unit!
