I only just got the darn thing. And now I'm going to sell it.
I'm selling my 20,000 mile black beauty of a Gransport. I know, I know, I only got it 3 months ago. The thing is I am starting a new business and for that I need to have a Porsche. It's a long story but the new business is...
i've done a bit of messing with tyre pressures. From 2 bar to 2.5 bar. (on the front). Purely from a subjective point of view the ultimate grip seems a bit better but the turn in is less sharp. I'm running on pirelli P zero Neros, almost new which may be why they want a bit of carcass stiffness...
Someone else will know exactly but from memory it's something like:
zero toe - slightly toe in at the front.
about 1/2 a degree of negative camber at the front.
The rear negative camber from FD is less that stock - stock is about 1.5 degrees of negative camber for the rear. I went for...
I had my GS set yesterday at Grimaldi. It turns out the rear toe links were totally shot - which is why it wasn't handling. Just need to get the supplying dealer to reimburse as the links were shot when I bought the car.
...As the Geo had to be done anyway, we decided to go for some Porsche...
Did you ever get to the bottom of this problem. My GS won't lock. I press the remote, the hazard lights flash but the doors lock and then unlock again immediately. I did it on the day I bought the car but a battery reset (and some help from Matt and SF - who had nothing to do with the sale at -...
I'm just looking at ditching the secondary cats. If you have no cats at all then:
1. you will light the MIL
2. you will have insufficient back pressure for the design of the cylinder head
3. The engine calibration will be messed up and so will need to be reworked.
Hiya.
What's the best option for the secondary cat delete pipe.
Benny is going to do me an Xpipe but I want a larini styley secondary cat delete pipe which has a better attempt at the squish section...
Answers?
Hi. Just for reference the GS is my 3rd robotised manual car.
The Aston Vantage is a true brute. You have do to the clutch learning cycle on a weekly basis (I had a 4.3) and it's not easy to reverse at all, especially if you are on full lock with the PAS pump taking power and messing with the...
Thanks All.
I have a set of rear toe links on their way (thanks Drew) and when they arrive i will decide where to go for the set up. I am tempted towards TDi in Lakeside. Sam Borgman there is a proper chassis guru and he know's a heck of a lot more than i do about vehicle dynamics. They will...
Thanks everyone for you super help. I'm going to base-line the car at Grimaldi and see where that gets me. What's the feeling on stiffer wishbone bushes ? What are the FD bars like with the stock springs ?

Just spoke to Rob at Grimaldi. He was not certain that the tie rods were to blame. Never the less I would be happy to replace them if someone can tell me where to get them ? Grimaldi are flat out for the next 3 weeks so I'm going to have to wait a bit...
