    CAR NOW SOLD

Thanks, Bob. I thought so too. And I'd like it to go to someone on here, if possible.

    CAR NOW SOLD

Update on the car. The service light has just come on, so it's time for that. Therefore, I'm willing to reduce the ask price to £32,450 for forum members, by way of contributing to the cost of the service. Really don't want to go much further below this price point, as the car has had that £4k...

    CAR NOW SOLD

Thanks, Ewan. I think so too and I'm trying to be pragmatic on the pricing, and open to sensible discussion.

    CAR NOW SOLD

Perhaps I can get the ball rolling by taking the starting price to £33,500?

    Check Transmission Go to Dealer.

This was the first time I found this out! haha Good talking to you yesterday. I will give you a call today to follow-up. Thanks again for your help.

    Check Transmission Go to Dealer.

I've spoken to Matthew at Sports Italia today and will follow up with him tomorrow. I think the car may end up going in with them, as he really seems to know his stuff and they seem highly regarded on here. He was alarmed at just how low the mileage is on the car for it to be reading as having a...

    Check Transmission Go to Dealer.

Thanks guys. With that in mind, would it be standard practice for the garages like Joe Macari to replace the CPS whilst replacing the clutch itself? It sounds like that would make sense. A failing CPS wouldn't cause a misread on the actual clutch wear itself though, I'd imagine? The car will...

Anyone have any feedback on this? I realise it's unlikely they're diagnosing incorrectly, but aware that oversell in order to get the 'big job' is possible. Could the issues be down to the CPS only?

Would a failed clutch position sensor cause a misread on the clutch wear? Just over 43km on the gearbox ECU.

100%, which seems mad given the car (when not in limp mode) drives well. But it is what it is I suppose?

Another quick update, and ultimately it's probably somewhat underwhelming/obvious. The clutch is knackered. It's now sufficiently worn that the car is throwing up this error. Definitely feel as though I've been slightly unlucky with the clutch needing done at 26.5k miles, but hey ho.

Cheers, Scaf. I'm of the mind that the car is in too good nick and too well looked after for it to be major, but you never know!

Car goes into Joe Macari's tomorrow, so should know more in the next day or so. Will report back.
