The seat heats on its own accord due to water ingress into the cover and electrics. I have a new one on the way and just disconnected the power to the switch to save heating the seat when not required.

Resolved, removed the posts using a set of pliers from a plastics panel removal kit. It did need a good amount of force but they came out in one piece.

Are you using Halfords premixed screen wash the pretty green or blue one? I had a failed pump on the screen washer on the Gran Turismo and once I checked it was not the pump I found it was the wash fluid and it blocked the jets with some slimy string stuff that was the same colour as the screen...
