What have you done to your Maserati today?

Gave the car a coat of Lanoguard and touched in bits where the under seal was flaking. The rear panel under the exhaust is next. The fixings - look exactly like the ones on my wife's Alfa GT, have all corroded. Any tips aside from drilling them out? MOT next week.

What have you done to your Maserati today?

Crank position sensor, couple of knock sensors and the alternator wire to the plug. Once plenum was off - which was quite easy, access was really good. My son is used to JLR stuff, first time up close with the Maserati engine, he thought it was great to work on. Need to get it Mot'd and out for...

What have you done to your Maserati today?

Chewed wire all sorted. Now running happily. Put it on the ramp, removed the undertray and arch liners to do a bit of lanoguarding and proper clean. Any ideas of where to get the little 7 mm screws? Thanks.

Has anyone got a wiring diagram for a 4200?

Thanks, but I was thinking of a full schematic diagram that shows where the wires go.

Has anyone got a wiring diagram for a 4200?

Hi there, trying to get the car to start and have enlisted the help of my more knowledgeable son. A wiring diagram would be really useful. Does anyone have one I could access? Thanks Richard

4200 GS Won't crank. Engine light on.

Can anyone recommend an auto electrical guy who's familiar with these cars? I'm gonna need 4 of these black wires that join at the junction box and connect to the block. I also need one of the other end - see diagram. Thanks Richard

4200 GS Won't crank. Engine light on.

Does anyone have an under plenum image? I can see a nibbled wire and a vacant spade connector? Thanks Richard

4200 GS Won't crank. Engine light on.

OK I think I may have found the answer. I can see several nibbled wires under the plenum chamber. I think a mouse has been in there. How hard is the plenum to remove? Thanks

4200 GS Won't crank. Engine light on.

Quick update. Have located the OBD and use the clear function. Still no crank and now cannot select 1 or R and F1 pump seems absent. I did disconnect the battery for 30 minutes from the negative pole but have reconnected it and all electrics seem fine apart from no F1 pump noise and no crank. Thanks

4200 GS Won't crank. Engine light on.

Thanks spkennyuk, I can select reverse, neutral, 1 - haven't tried the others. F1 pump is coming on as usual. Have a basic OBD, just can't see where it is. It's a RHD 2007 GS so I'm looking under the driver steering cowl. Thanks Richard

    ULEZ is expanding

There has been a substantial movement against ULEZ. If you google Julie's map you can see how many cameras have been taken out. I can't see any environmental gain in scrapping almost 1 million vehicles which typically belong to the less well off. There is a ground up anti ulez movement that is...
