Its a time consuming process. You can really screw up the lettering on the switches. I remove the sticky substance and i guarrantee no parts will ever get sticky again. Sticky stuff is forever gone....LSRIZZO@OUTLOOK.COM

Hi Peter, first off the knobs do not pull rite off. Theres a good chance you will damage the knob by trying thst. The best way is to take the hvac a part and push the knob out from the back. Ill do whatever someone asks. Usually one will send me their knobs and switches and ill refinish them and...

The chrome surrounds are difficult. I havent found a solution. That darn chrome just flakes rite off. Most of the time guy just ask me to take the chrome off and paint it black. They seem to be different from the center vent chrome ring and im not sure why cuz i ve never had them out

Sorry i didnt see this sooner. Im not on here much so email is better. Those clips on the inner dash vents break on almost everone that i take out. And every vents that is sent to me are broke so i just repair them
