Similar problem happened again - battery died overnight. "Something" draining it I guessed. So put in new battery and when I closed the boot I noticed the little servo locking noise didn't sound. Aha! This is a locking problem... low and behold the manual latch on rear offside passenger...

Duh, you know you're right thanks. With no real need for boot space it's just a spare wheel I need. Better find a place to keep at home though I guess.

Any ideas how I can source a Spacesaver for my QPV? She is on 19 wheels but I read some old posts on here suggesting only 18 available - confused? Thinking to have it for long drive around the Highlands where I suspect it could get me out of trouble. Obvs the Mrs won't be coming so plenty...

This way of retrievong the key works, done it several times. The problem of unlocking the boot when the key isn't catching sounds strange. Usually it's a case of the key being very stiff to turn in the boot lock rather than spinning in the barrel. Hopefully weight on the boot helps? Sent from...

I had exactly this just the other day. Forget rear door, it will work when front is sorted. You have to prise that latch out from the handle - only way to solve. I used long nosed pliers and a flat screwdriver at an angle... it actually scratched up the black latch a bit but at least didn't...
