A friend of mine sent me some photos of it, I'll ask him where they came from but I believe it recently came back to the UK. I haven't actually seen it advertised anywhere but he said it was for sale in need of restoration

Actually it was never restored and is currently for sale for about £7500 I believe. Probably more than you sold it for :D

Just found an old photo of what I think is *0208 on my old phone and it is wearing the plate M17 CUP. That was last MOT'd in 2019 so that ties up BUT it is listed as 2790cc. Could be a DVLA error though, not like they are known for their accuracy of info

Wow, that is some wing on the back! Interesting it has the original exhaust there, I think when it was auctioned it had twin pipes on each side?? Not a fan of the colour coded wheels either I wonder if it's worth trying to track down to wrap or repaint as I'm not looking for a collector's item...

I would really like a Blue Francia Cup too and tried to track one down a few years ago. I did speak to an owner in London which may have been that car but I don't know many RHD were made in that colour. I was told by a specialist that it wasn't a great example anyway and the MOT history showed...
