6'3" and I found my 4200 comfy.

That looks lovely! I had a regular V6 GTV and thought it was such a fun and characterful car.

I don't doubt that... but the stress it would have caused me meant it was worth paying someone else to do it!

I paid £1500 for the heater matrix in my 4200. Two day job. Mine was leaking already though.

I had a 156 GTA, well two, the second was one of the few cars I regretted selling, especially as they all seemed to jump about £5k in value a few months later! I'd love another but can't justify the price they now command.

That's properly annoying. As you know, had to have mine done. Seems like a right pain of a job but at least you have the skills to do it. Cost me £1500, I wouldn't have had the patience to do it myself.

Was reading some advice on here and some people have mentioned failing cats as being an issue. Forgive the potentially dim question but what are the signs? I've had one fail before, on a 156 GTA, properly fail and pretty much block the exhaust, equalling no power, and I'd rather catch any issue...

They looked after one of my old 156 GTAs and did a great job so was nice to know my 4200 was in good hands!

Don't worry I'm driving like a right grandad at the moment! Managed 24mpg on the way back when I picked it up..!

The mountain in the background of pic 1 is Snowdon, it's the road heading down to Nant Gwynant. I'm lucky enough to live in the area :)

Alfas mostly, last couple have been 156 gta's, which I still love, but the 4200... wow.
