I've been looking for a 2nd car for the last 18 months or so, toying with marquees, yet prices are climbing and climbing. R8, up. 997s, up. M4, up. Gts, up. There's lot of money floating around, but I'm wondering how sustainable everything is...I was a bit to young to really understand the 09...

I haven't lusted after a hunk of metal in my lifetime until now. If this is as fun to drive as I think it should be, it'll be a forever car (when I can afford one). Even things like hurracans don't work for me, as nice as they are....this ticks all the boxes. Manual, decent sounding v6, modern...

I'm not a podcast person but that was really interesting. Will be keeping an eye/ear out for more. Some very timely buys by the chaps on there too!

I can't profess to understand all the graphs you post Froddy, but the more I'm playing around on the markets the more they make sense and it's interesting for me to see how these trend lines play out. Particularly at the moment, even if I'm about 30pc down :as003:

Some of the most fun I've had in a car has been in lower powered things, 350z in the wet. S2000. Civic type r. Fiesta st. Literally foot to the floor every time. Part of the fun is knowing it can just be hammered and used without losing license but also breaking down. I could also get a decent...

I can't smoke cigars anymore because of this reason. I just can't seem to not inhale from years of shisha smoking. Even when I was younger I could inhale cigars fine but not since stopping smoking years back.

I'm about £1k down across meme stocks like amc, Nokia and blackberry. Will just hold now. Bb I do have some long term hope for. Amc may come good post covid....at least that's what I'm telling myself lol.

Would be interesting to hear people's longs too. Less exciting for sure, but like you Ewan the lower risk and sensible stocks have their place. For me, UK portfolio wise I'm thinking Lloyd's Bank, Rolls Royce, gsk. All seem very undervalued even with their respective Financial positions at the...

I think this has been a real eye opener to many, myself included about the lengths and plays that can be made. There's another thread started on another forum where a long term trader is going in to some of the ways the markets are skewed against retail which I'm sure will have a few more...

I've always been hesitant to call the markets fixed but this is blatant and I'm fully in for whatever repercussions happen. It's manipulation in plain sight. How some of the largest platforms can halt buying but allow selling only, then claim its to minimise risk is beyond me. Interesting AOC...
