Thanks everyone.
Sadly, life has got in the way. My dog has become seriously ill. So, I won't be seeing the car until that's sorted. She's only 10 months old.
Puts things into perspective.
I'm going to see a car this weekend. Are there any issues in particular I should look out for?
If the car is straight I'll have an independent inspection done. I just want to check the 'obvious' things before I spend money on a professional.
Thanks.
I'm in contact with the 2003 car's owner. Subject to it remaining unsold, I'll see it in two weeks time.
So please, NO ONE ELSE BUY IT in the meantime! (Unless you really, really must, obvs.)
Thanking you. :-D
Thanks to you both. I'm looking at the car linked to above. It has done 70,000 miles.
If I "need to find an alternative" are the cables a regular spec? Is the job of replacing them straightforward?
I've just read on another thread that shift linkages can be an issue on manuals.
Can someone fill in the details on this please?
What in particular issue should I look for? What's the fix? How expensive is said fix?
Thank you.
Thank you.
That looks good at first glance. It has a light interior, which I prefer. Shame it's a pre update car. Still, "hen's teeth". I shall make some enquiries
Well, I should not have sold my 4200 in the first place. Though, the clutch on it once failed on the Brent Cross flyover. I think I made the travel news that night.
