Thanks everyone. Sadly, life has got in the way. My dog has become seriously ill. So, I won't be seeing the car until that's sorted. She's only 10 months old. Puts things into perspective.

I've just read on another thread that shift linkages can be an issue on manuals. Can someone fill in the details on this please? What in particular issue should I look for? What's the fix? How expensive is said fix? Thank you.

I've just heard from Nareman at Nuvola that there were only 4 post face-lift, RHD manual spyders supplied. So, not the easiest car to find.

Well, I should not have sold my 4200 in the first place. Though, the clutch on it once failed on the Brent Cross flyover. I think I made the travel news that night.
