    FoS UK Debut for MC20

I'm there Saturday and was thinking of flashing my keys too :D Really excited to see it in person after all the great reviews, not that I'm anywhere close to being able to buy one!

I never tried the 4.2 so can't comment either way, but I imagine it's plenty quick enough, and like you say it's still a stunning car that will get plenty of attention and feel properly special to drive. Apologies for the late reply on the photos as I've been away, here's a couple of quick pics...

For those of you not in the Facebook owners group, I finally picked up my car on Friday! It was absolutely filthy weather for the drive back along the M4, and surprisingly busy. I've had it out a couple of times over the weekend to give passenger rides to friends, I think there will be quite a...

    The good morning thread

Good morning everyone! First time posting on this thread, as I'm sitting on a train on my way to collect my GranTurismo. I don't think I'll get bored of saying "my GranTurismo" any time soon, and I'm also looking forward to saying "shall we take the Maserati?" on a fairly regular basis :)

    Yaris GR!!

Considering the amount of development involved, and the fact no-one has made anything like it in a very long time, I'd say it's taking a punt. It's a very low volume, highly bespoke car that shares pretty much nothing with a boggo Yaris - less than, say, an Evo or WRX shared with a vanilla...

    Yaris GR!!

It looks like a great bit of kit, at least when it's driven properly. I was seriously tempted to put down a deposit when they started taking orders - but owning one fairly quick Toyota already, my mind turned to whether I could buy something used and a bit more exotic for similar money. Which...

First Post - Potential Granturismo Owner

Congratulations :) Very similar spec to the one I'm waiting to pick up, Sofisticato is just a stunning colour and you don't see too many with the Astro wheels.

Yeah that's what I meant, if it needs to come off and get replaced then that can be done. It's only partial - wings, bonnet, bumper, and the rear arches. Few minor cosmetic issues elsewhere that aren't under PPF. Thanks for the offer. I'm based in Swindon, so not a million miles away, I was...

Yeah, I might be a bit excited and telling anyone that will listen! You're right btw, it does have PPF although it needs re-doing. I'll see how it looks after it's been prepped by the dealer, I'll probably end up getting it properly detailed anyway.

Thank you to @Ewan and @philw696 for the reassurances. The car was basically my perfect specification, and it really was stunning sitting on the forecourt. So I decided to take the plunge and have put a deposit on it this morning. For all my concerns about the missed service, there were receipts...

Thanks for the info. Looks like I was being over cautious then - to be honest the last used car I bought was a £250 Peugeot 205, 15 years ago, so it's hard for me to gauge what to expect from a near £40k, 8 year old car. Especially being the first one I've looked at.

Possibly fair comments. And yes, colour and spec are basically spot on. I think I might have had more confidence if it hadn't been the first one I've looked at, and if I could've got a good look underneath. Those few issues made me think I might end up spending a chunk more fairly soon.

It's something to watch out for. If I could've got underneath and looked I might have had more confidence, but coupled with the springs and cosmetic bits it was just a few too many things that needed attention. Maybe over-cautious on my part too!

So here's the car I looked at: https://www.jardinemotors.co.uk/select/used-cars/12812182-maserati-gran-turismo-v8-sport-2dr-mc-auto-shift/ Lovely colour and spec. But a few issues: No record of the first service (8 years old now so probably not an issue, but equally not what you want to see)...

Thanks for the advice. Had a chat with them and they suggested that as it's from a dealer I can get PPI done immediately after purchase if the car looks good, and use the 7-day refund right if the PPI shows anything scary - they were happy to fit me in for the PPI at short notice. They also...
