@dgmx5 sorry just seen this. No the got was mot’d before they got their hands on it. I think when they received it they noticed a grinding and took it apart to sell it to me. The issue muct have arisen between the mot and me getting it.

I suppose they hope to be able to play the ‘we had no idea’ card with the new buyer. They couldn’t do it with me as they told me they changed that disc. Bet the new owner won’t get that info.

Odd stuff happening with this GT, the dealer that was selling it now doesn’t appear to be doing so, it looks to have gone back to Sterling cars again. They now have it listed on an eBay no reserve auction. Wonder if the dealer saw some of the stuff on here and sent it back? I see from Sterling...

Seeing this car in a dealer with this write up should say enough about buying cars from small dealers rather than big specialists or main dealers.

I rushed as lockdown was looming, I got the train there and didn’t want to get it back, I said to my wife that had she driven me to view I think I would have walked.

I found and included a print out from a Maserati dealer showing the first 2 services, just a line on a spreadsheet, not an invoice. Other than that there was nothing. So nothing in the last 10 years!

They will, now it’s gone I can see past the initial attraction to it. And it’s not a perfect car. Lots of the interior leather was peeling, front and rear bumper crazed from dings, parking sensors didn’t work etc. I feel sorry for whoever gets it. Hopefully they see this thread first!

No, I recon the dealer I got it from passed it off in the trade to avoid fixing it. I would bet my house it hasn’t been repaired

Do you know what’s crazy about that, the car had no service history at all. I traced its first three years at a Maserati dealer but that was it. If that has full service history it isn’t the history for that car.

Very true. Took me ages to find this one as I wanted black with red leather and low miles, this only had 54k. However wasn’t willing to be left with a bill I didn’t think I was responsible for.

To close up this thread, I purchased the car (Mx08fyf), turns out the rear hub was broken and handbrake removed from the drivers side. The dealer have now collected and refunded me, soon to be for sale again imagine. If you see this car for sale and happen to find this post. Better that you know!
