Yeah, I didn’t bother planning fuel stops, the range of the Maser meant I only topped up twice i think, and my total route was 800+ miles. I think avoiding E10 might be more of a concern, but I’m less fussy when it’s getting burnt off the next day anyway!

I think the 4 pot isn’t much lighter due to the 8 speed double clutch gearbox. There will inevitably be higher performance versions, most probably of both engines, it’s the Lotus way after all. Absolutely stunning cars, and a great send off for ICE Lotus, and the right size too.

Indeed, mine is the same year :) You can tell it’s a facelift from the rear view too, since the rear bumper is different too. To add to all the DVLA confusion, mine is a Coupe GT and appears as a Spider CC on some insurance websites!!

From what I gather, it’s like this every year. ClubLotus have been sending emails about Glamis since November and had most cars confirmed and paid by January. It’s a strange show none the less, lots of the same stuff each year, the car park is always worth a quick walk around for some nice stuff!!

My Coupe GT is on a Maserati branded CTEK, my Lotus an Oxford Oximiser 600. Both as good as each other, the Oxford is 15 years old, used 24/7 and still going strong.

I expect that was mine, Sunday only, on the stand neighbouring Club Lotus, and only because my Lotus blew it’s header tank on the Saturday I’ll be at Glamis, but in the Elise and I’d like to be at Hopetoun, but it’s clashed with holidays a couple of times. The Stirling site looks good too...

Inflation / higher interest rates won’t be helping either. I think these cars are now almost too cheap which makes folk assume they are badly built or hugely unreliable. Compare to a 911 of the same age, or Aston etc and they are utter bargains, but less desirable. I think this price cut will...

Not convinced by that. It's clear he's doing well, and he seems to enjoy it all in the videos I've watched (though not many as I find him a tad annoying), that article makes out that he owns the entire collection. I'd imagine, not least of all given the arrangement with the finance company...
