Update:

Replaced the bearing in the alternator and its a much quieter idle now

The window module on the donor seemed to have taken a swim in water and was beyond savable not to mention it was blue with a Maserati part number while mines was black with a Ferrari part number. Dropped off the car at a shop that specializes in ECU rebuilds, capacitors replacement etc.

Seems she is in good company

2 days later and $190 later, I have working windows!

I also took the cracked windshield off and out of curiosity went to the local Jag/Ford/Masi/Ferrari dealer and asked for a quote
"Its out of stock since 2018 and the last one we sold was fourteen thous....." I ran away soo fast out

$3,804 for those wondering how much that would be

The windshield guy is producing a replacement one as we speak and I cleaned out the surface rust and painted the windshield area for a rust free future

In other news, the 3D printing is off to a great start

V1 hood vents, wasn't happy with the fitment so sent it back along with the donor hood to save time

I would have a new aftermarket (but high quality) windshield for 500€ in Austria.
But I assume, sending it to UAE would cost a fortune.

And finally, after 1 year 3 months and 8 days....she is road legal and my 1st day taking her to work!

But first....she was running rough and seemed P side wasn't getting spark but it was drivable so took it another shop and towed my donor and had them remove anything missing from mines onto the donor

pJ9MDh.jpg

Installed EBC red pads on them although the pads had plenty of life on them, they were dry and unsafe to drive on. I also had the shop paint the calipers to match the valve covers although he was adamant it would look ugly, he changed his mind once the wheels were put back on

I towed her to the testing station and thought ill try my luck and see if she will pass, they failed her on high carbon and black smoke from the exhausts (running rich)

At least she was in good company with my XKR

Sent her back to Dubai to redo the timing...he did it 2 times to get the timing 99.9% right to the point where he put a water cup on the TB and sent me a video of how smooth running she had become. Sent her back to me in Abu Dhabi...washed her, put temporary plates and gave her a good Italian tune up to get all the carbon/smoke out and to stretch her legs and drove to the testing station....PASSED!

Next day, went and got plates for her

Now, the negatives:

I have a clunking sound coming from the rear, I suspect its the rear sway bar and its links (they were 70% gone)
I have a bearing/rotor on metal sound coming from front P side
My speedo goes only to 100 KM/H before quitting and staying there till I slow down and goes back to normal
I need to fill AC Freon/gas, iv been told its 800grams..is that correct?
I have a slight light flickering situation when I turn on the lights but voltage is ok and battery is new (see youtube videos)
The middle screen of the cluster which shows door open/closed and NO ASR etc doesn't work unless I smack the upper dashboard...any ideas?

Body earth after re spray?

As far as I know, there are only 2 ground wires from the lower bulkhead going to the rear of the valve covers....I made those myself with thicker gauge braided wire to specifically avoid chasing electrical gremlins

Amazing work, fair play on the restoration.

What a magnificent result :clapps:

THANK YOU EVERYBODY!!! I really appreciate all the wisdom here and help

I let me friend, 04 Bentley Arnage owner, drive the Masi and he thinks its down on power and not at 100%

I don't have another 3200 to benchmark against....iv arranged to meet with a another 3200 owner in Dubai and we will drive each others cars to give feedbacks to each other

In the mean time, can you guys post pics of your center console, the PO put a cheap 90s style Sony, JVC style radio which doesn't even look like it belongs there....I'm trying to go back to an OE or OE+ look

Also, the turbos start spooling at 2k RPM right?

Also, here is the speedo issue I was telling you about...its shoots up to 100 and stays there

Where does the speedo take its readings from?
