Am I missing something or is it bolted to the terminals and has a wall plug on the other end so you can’t disconnect it???

Hmm, I can't see a plug either. That's going to be messy if you drive off without unplugging from the mains!

There's a 5Amp and 10 Amp versions too, which will be overkill if you have a decent battery and you keep it plugged in when in storage.

It's clearly designed to be permanently fitted to the car and with only 2 foot of mains cable (no UK plug) you're going to need an extension cable. It should easily fit into a GTs battery area, it's certainly small enough.
For $30 plus taxes, plus postage it's not a bad punt.

That's going on the Xmas list. I could fit a kettle type plug and socket for quick release which would solve the 'you idiot you forgot to unplug' situations.

I have one of these keeping my Strad battery maintained. It seems to work fine and does come with a UK plug! I just used M10 bolts to screw the eyelets to the battery terminals. I have just left the unit loose and not screwed it to anything.

Surely you lose the thermal compensation, then?

Finally, a maintainer with temp compensation that can actually go near the thing whose temperature it should be reading. There are clearly still some issues, a seperate thermocouple would be nice, but still, a good thing.

So if I screw it to the battery it will be able to tell its temperature?

I have a Noco boost after seeing one of the French roadside guys jumpstart a truck with one. Has saved me on more than one occasion for jump starting when the car appeared completely dead. Brilliantly engineered bits of kit. I would imagine this is very good if their other products are anything to go by.
