New car/new disaster!

As can be seen by the picture my new car arrived yesterday fresh from 2 Weeks at an excellent PPF/Detailer - Auto-Protek. There level of work and attention to detail is simply second to none, and speaking as a super fussy OCD sufferer, I can thoroughly recommend them!
Unfortunately, putting the car in the garage I misjudged the size and shape of the folded door mirrors, and caught the N/S on the garage opening, scraping the mirror cover, and to my disbelief snapping and ripping off part of the assembly!
Of course the damaged part - which surrounds the ‘neck’ of the housing appears not to be available separately, meaning potentially a whole new unit. As this was after business hours here, I rang a U.S Genesis dealer parts department, to see a rough idea of cost. Thanks to all the electronics (self driving functionality etc) - $1,700.00!!!!
I have spoken to the body shop I use, the car is booked in on Monday. They will (and the OCD Anxiety side of me, is already causing stress that it all goes according to plan!) bond repair and repaint the broken trim part- it just clips on to the stem of the mirror, and repaint the mirror cap. I feel certain for a fraction of the price!!
Typical disaster strikes on the first day!!
From now on putting the car away will be a very slow and careful process, involving repeated checks of the N/S as I inch forward putting it away!!!
Initial impressions from short drive - Rolls Royce levels of ride and refinement, and endless technology! Finally everyone so far thinks I have a Bentley or Aston Martin thanks to the bonnet badge!

I remember kerbing mine just after purchase. I truly felt an almost physical pain when I it happened What had I done? Awful moment. Deepest sympathy.
