Well I have a possible direct link via Mark Donovan's customers, who knows.
It's immensely frustrating as I have to fight off my rabid terrier journalistic instinct...

It will be worth it if it comes off though - keep the faith

This '96 model has come up for sale in a Ghibli II FB group I belong to.

101348

Seller is asking for 24k (Euros). Personally I'm not a fan of the colour but someone will love it.

Also, a much more tasteful grigio '94 car, seller asking for 25.8k (Euros):

Yes, of course! It came up in my feed because someone had replied to it and the seller had responded?! Odd, maybe it's back on the market. Not sure.
I made that mistake.

Here are a couple of highlights from me:

An inexpensive (these days) Racing, but it needs €10k of love by the owner's estimation.

Fairly low KMs 430 and not too horrifically priced

This 224 looks like it's had all the work done and more

First of a couple of red ones that caught the eye

And the second

This looks suitably demonic

As does this, but the pricing is quite something. It didn't sell at €75k, and it is now €20k more. Still, always worth seeing what else the seller has in stock

I think it's the other way round, the values for Ghiblis are unreasonably low in the UK.

Any 911 of the same era as the Ghibli is almost a six figure car now.
I'm struggling to think of an analogue car with a bespoke engine and decent performance from a premium brand that is below 50k euros at the moment.

I think the Ghibli even in Europe is vastly underpriced, they are a bargain at the moment.
With rising parts availability I can see their values well into the 40k euro range within the next 5 years

It's easy to buy a good 996 Porsche for under £20k. And as an overall package, most people would say it's the better car.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the Ghibli and have owned three, but I also like 911's and have one currently.
Personally I think the pricing of Ghibli's in the UK is about right.

The Maserati reputation from that era is poor in comparison to today, which will feed the second hand values.
Rusty unreliable biturbos with some less than favourable reviews by popular journalists hasn't helped !

By they time they got to the GT, they had ironed out the early problems, and produced a nice reliable ish... car but people had lost heart by then.

Road tests of the day pitched the Cup against the E36 M3, which tends to be mid to high teens now, although there are a couple being chanced in the low £30's
In this instance rarity doesn't help value, it is not that it is a sort after model of a well liked car. I would have said the GT was relatively unknown and the Cup is a limited edition of a car that people just don't know about.

Whereas everybody knows a Porsche 996 and they are well liked cars, and you can buy 996 headlights on ebay for £650 a pair !!!

I found the Carrera 2 996 ‘nice’ but hardly epoch shifting but to be fair I had about an hour with it. If I had longer with it and was able to drive it in a more, ahem, robust fashion for which it was built, I may have warmed to it more.
Driven plenty of Carrera 4s and they were sleep-inducing.
996 Turbo - amazing for an hour, then the enjoyment waned
996 GT3 - lives up to the hype. And some, Jesus…

Ultimately, to be fair, they're all toys for the likes of us. Regardless of marque or model. I think if we can enjoy driving or owning one then we're not doing too badly. Values are subjective. I bought mine for around 12k about 7 years ago and it's probably worth double that now but I've spent at least the difference in looking after it over those years. It's not an investment. It's a lovely fun thing that I'm fortunate to have.

I think we featured this RHD manual QPIV earlier, but the ad now has extra photos of the car....

Was just looking at that car today.
happy to discuss privately if anyone’s looking to buy

All 4 wheel centre caps are missing (and they’re nla)
I think you can still get wheel caps that fit - not exactly the same as the originals, but good enough and better than having an open whole. The replacements have red tridents, but they can be repainted black or silver to suit.

A manual EVO V8 QP IV is a lovely car, and very rare (more so than an MCV, Ghibli Cup, etc). I’d certainly be interested if I hadn’t recently bought my green QP.

Do you have a link for the centre caps please?
