The 4200 I saw today was in perfect condition. It has the carbon package (does anyone know if many 4200GTs have this?), a Tubi exhaust (sounds amazing), new tyres, only 59000km, full service history incl. all documents and drove fantastic. Next step is to make an appointment at a Maserati dealer for a full check of the car which can be done over 2 weeks since the current owner (private seller) is going on holidays. So it will be a long 2 weeks, but I'll keep you posted once I know more :).

Looks great! I’m in the GT in France and a 4200 in that same colour just came past us (wife is driving at the moment :as004:)

Not quite perfect... the headlight washer jet cover is not painted! :)

I said perfect, not mint ;-).

It has 3 minor details that I'd like to fix.
  1. Headlight washer needs to be painted
  2. Tank button in glove department is missing
  3. Chrome above the licenseplate at the back is slightly damaged (0,7cm)

And some sticky parts that needs to be cleaned

I think the image says it all.....it's mine now :).

Really happy with this car. A manual 4200 with carbon interior parts and tubi exhaust (original exhaust came with the car).
Maserati in Aachen did a check off the car today and according to him, I will not be able to find one in a better condition :).

On Tuesday I can go to the Dutch RDW to apply for the Dutch licenseplates and then I can truely start enjoying it!

Bin the standard exhausts, they are cr4p and will never go back on. Imo, the later 4200 7 spokes look better and are easier to clean. Also, make sure the gear change cables are correctly adjusted and, FFS, don't put any 3200 parts on it if needs any repairs, which it will. Btw, you don't realise it yet but you will, if you can afford to run a 4200 you are much better off than you thought. Welcome to the madness.

Went to the RDW today for the Dutch registration. Everything went well and if all OK, I should have the Dutch plates in appr. 1 week.
One concern though is that the floor at the VIN-Number in front of the passengerseat is wet :-(.

Will have it further investigated once I can drive the car to the dealer.....
