It’s a deeper - sound, still raspy with pops and bangs - loud too !!!
Id like to try the H. I didnt like the X pipe, so i removed it and just kept the Sports cats. I did ask Larini if they had any H, but they lost all their stock a couple of months back in a fire.. so they told me. May try one at some point, but the rasp with the X i didnt like at all.

Where are you located - if ever your are close by you could at least hear mine in action.

I got my un silenced H from a chap on eBay (Poland) it’s not the best welding in the world but was a good fit and came with welded brackets.

I have a New (100 miles only) Larini X-Pipe for a Granturismo. I had it fitted with the Larini Cats and found it too much noise wise, so ive removed the X Pipe. Please PM me if you want to discuss price. Was £550 when i bought it recently.

Out of curiosity, was it too loud in the cabin or concerned about the neighbours?

Does your husband like loud cars? Just wondering for a friend.

Doing a little more research into this.
The sound of the X pipe will vary depending on what brand you have, looking through various brands they seems to differ greatly in shape.

I'd be rather surprised if you could tell any difference in sound from different shapes (but stranger things have happened)

I'd imagine the gauge of material used my have an impact, though.

Hi Scaf. Im in the midlands. Near to Banbury area. Yeah i did see those H pipes and i contacted him a while back. Its not resonated, and i am not sure if that is the way to go or the resonated Larini. This whole thing is a trial and error process TBH.

It was more the tone change vs the volume increase i disliked. I loved the volume when the car was on full chat... But it had a really tinny, rasp sound - particularly at a certain rev range - circa 3k rpm - 5k rpm. It lost its base tone. Very cheap and metallic sound IMO. Quite off-putting TBH. Hence i ditched it for the Std OEM x-pipe.

Ah, that’s a bit of a treck to trade exhaust sounds - but if you are heading my way (Hemel Hempstead) happy to meet up.
Good luck finding the perfect sound for you
