That door mechanism will blunt the 4.2 performance still further…

Yeah, the current owner had it done as he has some significant mobility issues. Allowed him to continue using the car for a bit longer, but it's now preventing him from getting in even with the scissors

Yes, it's a d@mn shame. The loves the brand and spent money on getting it done correctly. Genuine reason for sale

I don't think he's on here, but was/is really active on the Fbook group. Shame, really feel for him having spent the time and money getting it to how he wants it.

That's a shame. I'm guessing it would be prohibitive cost to change it back? Friend bought a Gallardo from new, had the Murcielago (as it was then) door conversion done and found the car impossible to sell three years later.

Looked at an MC20 recently and decided it just lacked too many cylinders for the price. Athol assures me they are a hoot to drive though!

It appears that the MC20 is about as a good a road-going sports car as you can get for £200k. But I agree with Phil, at that price point, a V6 just doesn’t seem very special. Maybe not even a V8.
A V12, on the other hand...

We are heading into times where the engine doesn’t dictate the price and can’t see this changing. It seems to be about how the car performance than the size of the engine in these days of greeness. The MC20 would be at the top if my list as it’s a great car but it does feel like it should have a lower starting price. Great car though all the same.

It’s a good point Andy. But as a £200k weekend toy, a second-hand V12 Aventador appeals to me more than the MC20. And as a fantastic daily sports car, I’d take a £100k 911 over the MC20. So for me it’s a car that falls between two stools. Fantastic though, I’m sure it is.

I think I would also take the 200k and buy two cars and like you a 911 would be in there as daily drive…911.2 GTS would do nicely. Aren’t you getting a new shape 911 Ewan or did I dream it ?

Nearly. I placed an order for a 911 a while back but cancelled it, as thought about the Alpine instead. But as it stands, the only new car I currently have a deposit paid on is the Ineos Grenadier.
