Hi all,

My name is Chris, 44 years of experience on planet Earth and a big fan of Italian sportcars (especially Ferrari).
With 3 kids, a Ferrari is currently out of my financial reach, but am interested in the 4200 Coupe (so 2 kids can ride along).

Hoping to learn a lot on this forum about the do's and dont's for the 4200.

Cheers,

Chris

Welcome Chris.
Do buy a good one. Don't buy a bad one....That should assist you. ;)Good luck in your search.
Ask any silly questions you want. There are plenty on here that will be able to answer. They may even be correct occasionally.

Condition and not just miles/km - find one that's been owned by someone who loves the brand not a garage that just wanted to make some money.

Don't expect it to drive like a new MB/BMW/Audi, they are a >20 year old design.

Welcome

Always buy with your eyes open, good advice on here on what to look for but an inspection from a specialist will more than pay for itself in the end. First big decision is manual or CC, best to drive both to see which you prefer they both have their own characteristics

Welcome Chris.
Love your 'coffee shops'. Sprinkles on bread and mayo on chips. Not so much.
Use the search function and you'll find a treasure trove of knowledge.
Even some about cars.
Best of luck with your search.

Groeten Chris,
My wife is Dutch, from Zwolle.
I can’t offer you any advice on 4200‘s specifically, but perhaps speak to AS Motorsport near Amsterdam. I think they are generally considered to know their stuff and should be able to assist you. Perhaps they might even know of a car for sale.
https://as-motorsport.info/shop/en/content/4-about-us
This is good advice.

I was accompagnied by AS Motorsport's owner when I went to inspect and acquire mine.

Neem je tijd, en kies een die echt met je klikt :)

Just when you thought thread drift couldn't get any more extreme.

That said, I couldn't think of a more appropriate thread for the story I just heard.

Step away from the coffee. Before you listen to this. BBC Radio 4 Today Programme
Next time you think that your 'shrooms are talking to you. You might be trippin'
You might not.
Scientists have discovered that 'shrooms talk to each other. They have a vocabulary
of about fifty words and talk mostly about the weather. Not sure if these 'scientists'
are Dutch or just consuming too much of their own experiments! :as004:

I realise that I'm still a relative new comer to ............ whatever this is
However, so long as it more closely resembles the former (below) and not the latter.
I shall be content to pledge allegiance :drinks:

I’m thinking of selling mine. 40000km, fully loaded, never winter driven.
98424
98425
New clutch. Lots of service stamps

I just don’t drive it enough, 3 months a year maybe because of the weather up here. Very annoying.
