Edit didn't see the above comment :D

Netflix , Don't look up

I'm ⅔ of the way through it , all star cast, DeCaprio , Lawrence,Streep ,Blanchett,Rylance

It's one wierd film , I'm going to have to stick with it to the end but it's very odd , a not very funny comedy about the end of the world.

The issue is that those, who refuse to 'Look Up' in reality, won't realise that they are the ones not 'Looking up' in the film.

It's a great movie, a star studded cast and Di Caprio is as usual excellent. It's also very depressing with Rylance as the Musk/Bezos style Billionaire who will risk humanity for their own gain. It's pretty much a spot-on look at society and all that is wrong with it right now.

Judy is on the iPlayer along with a star is born, both worth a watch

I looked up photos of Judy garland during the 1968 shows, I wouldn't think she weighs 6 stone , what a sad life she had

We all liked it, even the in-laws and they don’t do sci-fi. I reckon Rylance was meant to be Jobs, far more in keeping with Apple’s way of working.

Jobs had no space race ambitions. It's got to be Musk/Bezos

I was going for the sold phones, stands on stage giving presentation claiming to be working for humanity and all kind and fuzzy but was just the same as Philip Morris or BP, that fits Jobs.

Netflix 2012 film - Moonrise Kingdom. This is a hidden gem. Barry Lyndon cinematography meets Swallons and Amazons. Not to everyone’s taste, but I was enamoured.

Another vote for Dopesick on Disney. Fascinating and frightening at the same time. Also enjoyed The Tourist.

If you like Maserati, you may like Horace & Pete on Amazon Prime. Left field choice, astonishing, intriguing and well worth putting up with…

Motherless Brooklyn on Amazon Prime expertly written, directed and starring Edward Norton (2019). Loads of 1950s Detroit iron on the streets of New York.
