Sorry bit blockchain can’t do this. Yes the ledger entry can’t be changed, but the item can still be switched surely? Unless we put each item in a sealed box that can’t be forced open without a sensor triggering an automatic record being added to a blockchain? And even then you still have to trust that the box is actually tamper proof. Which nothing really is.
Not sure of all the details so cant comment, but you’d have to go through a **** of a lot of trouble to bypass this plus as the process is more clearly plotted it’s easier to find the culprit if it does go wrong somewhere. At the moment you have no idea really if what you buy is real or fake unless it’s a bad fake of course..

I’m long spot gold to c. $1,920 (target 1) and c. $2,000 (target 2) in the short-term.

After that, who knows?!

Chaps,

I'm taking profits on spot gold as I don't like the look of it for my purposes as a short-term trader.

It may rip higher, and re-entry is only a click away. However, the question I always ask myself is "does the reason I entered the trade still exist?". If the answer is no, my rules dictate that I must get out.

I got into the trade on short-term momentum, but price is stalling repeatedly around the $1,900 mark. It has today formed a bearish engulfing candle at +2ATR:

I am not bearish gold - I am reducing my risk and waiting for the next wave to surf ...

Fun fact:

Over the last 20 years, statistically, June has been the weakest month of the year for the S&P with only 38% of previous Junes being positive.

Will this year buck the trend? Who knows ...

Chaps,

If any of you dabble in forex, you should keep your eye on the AUDUSD pair for a potential short.

Tomorrow is the last day of the month, and the monthly candles are very nearly complete. The US$ index is looking very threatening (monthly chart here):

The Aussie dollar is looking a little tired compared to the US$ (monthly chart here):

Will the the US$ march upwards and the Aussie trip and fall? Who knows ...

On a wider scale, this is a red flag for the stock markets - take care if you're long. These things can take time to unfold and have a tendency to catch us only when we least expect it.
Chaps,

AUD/USD showing significant weakness today - be prepared - it's at an inflection point for a move either way.

Weekly chart here:

Daily Ichimoku Cloud chart here (price has dropped below the cloud with a volatility squeeze too):

4 hour chart here (showing inflection point and potential for a bounce):

If the Aussie/dollar pair tumbles, global markets will likely tumble too; if there's a short squeeze, we will rally ...

I have a question for you .
If all the people who think they own physical gold asked for delivery am I correct in assuming that there would be a huge issue because of rehypothecation ?

Your income does not keep up......that’s the trouble.....you need buckets of cash as prices of goods accelerate.
In Germany in the 20’s a wheelbarrow containing 100’s of millions of cash was worth more than the cash.

No inflation today....my ars3, look at the problem first time buyers have getting on the housing ladder.
Look at house prices globally.
Shrinkflation, plenty.
Central bank inflation denials.....they can’t admit it can they.
Yep, in those days between wars, in Germany it was cheaper to paper your walls with Deutchmarks than buy actual wallpaper.

How do you do this....is it staking?

I'm providing liquidity by pooling 50% ETH and 50% CARDS (Cardstarter token) in Uniswap. Then you stake the pair with Cardstarter and they issue you LP tokens (actually CSWAP tokens in this case). The you harvest the CSWAP tokens and sell them into USDC or Tether. You could harvest daily but you pay a gas fee for every transaction so I'm harvesting every couple of days. It's very complex but I could talk you through it.

I know absolutely diddly about Crypto Currencies and how they work, or why they work for that matter. What I do know through work is that Texas is about to become the new home for a number of crypto miners.
One has begun discussions with a client of mine who we are helping to fund their 1.5GW wind and solar farm there. They have said they will take ALL of the power generated on a 10 year PPA. And the farm won't be built for another couple of years.

What that says to me is that there is a lot more life yet in Crypto's.

Anyone else think that El Salvador will now become the centre of money laundering for the world?
That was my first thought...but my second was that for countries with relatively weak currencies this could work very well - BTC is already used instead of currencies in some developing countries with extremely high inflation or very volatile currencies.
