I think the Ferrari 612 is a stunning car. No objections from Mrs FIFTY either she likes them too

Maybe they will still be underrated enough in a few(many) years when I can afford/justify one - my main objection in reality is that they are massive on the road.
Agreed, they’re a big car, I’d say similar size to a Granturismo. I was amazed when driving this just how much better it drives than an early car. I’ve driven an 05 a few times, and been in an 09, but this 07 is way better than the 05.

Such value compared to an unloved 456.

My personal preference would be a cream interior, but that does look good.

If only this was not at a dodgy dealers.

Now I'm just looking on a phone at this but... the scuderia shield doesn't appear to be recessed into the wing, and the headlining looks like it's going a bit in one corner.

The 612 is better than the 456 in every way. Apart from the one that matters most - style. Which is exactly why the 456 is the better buy.
Totally get that, but moost 456s seem to be sold by archway garages and are full of issues, bad histories and smell like my dogs after a walk in the rain. OK there are also the collectors cars, but they will always be out of reach for those like me...sadly

You should of had my old 98 GTA perfect colour combination full Marenello history from day one bought and sold for £25K Peter.

Not disagreeing as I’ve got one here, but still disagree Ewan. For me, the 612 is far prettier, far better all round and similar prices mean it’s a no brainer. I think a 612 is a lot of car at £50-60k, wouldn’t give half that for a 456 unless a manual, proper example then maybe worth £50-60k. But then a manual 612 is a 6 figure car.

A £25k 456 seems a no brainer now, much like a sub-£20k 996 Turbo, a mid-teens Clio V6 or a sub-£5k RX-7.

Mine had only 25,000 miles too and a complete service history totalling more than £25,000, all the tools and books, indoor car cover and a Ferrari battery charger too.
I offered it on here back then and no takers the same as when I put my 360 Modena up for £36,000.

Not now, but the above all did.

Like @philw696 's 456 these are all cars that at some point in their depreciation curve hit rock bottom and were unloved and then started to rise, or in some cases skyrocket.
