There are plenty of GTA’s around, finding RHD manual cars is more difficult and they are fetching a big premium over the autos.

Had a good chat with my MD, they're of the opinion that 612, 599 and sorted 430s are on the up.

Very tempted to jump into a Ferrari within the next 2 years.

As it happens, Dicky has a rather nice 430 waiting for you.....

PH
Small problem with that...Im also tempted by a 2011 Gallardo Bicolore!

Options!! But im not desperate, im all about odd ball rare stuff and by that I mean unusual spec, production numbers etc

No Tax? Probably taken away and crushed, with the owner then being sent the bill.:(

Nope future classic for sure.

If I had £100k now to "speculate" with and room to store I would buy these

BMW 850CSi
BMW Z3M Coupe
RenaultSport Clio 182 Trophy or V6
Pug 205 Gti 1.9
Porsche 944 S2 or 928 GTS
Subaru Impreza Turbo 2000 (UK model standard)
Mazda MX5 Mk1.
Mercedes-Benz SL500
Lotus Elise S1
How times have changed :| Even taking out the 850 CSI, you'd have about £200k-250k's worth of cars there, if all of them were mint low-milers. Maybe more...

love the thread resurrection and subject matter. Somehow there 456 still remains close satisfying to my V12 itch even though It is unfashionably four seated. In my eyes one of the best looking F cars with added pop-up light appeal. The clearly gorgeous 550 feels too obviously good looking in a Hollywood matinee idol style perhaps and 575 cosmetically tweaked (although not quite Joan rivers).
Just my opinion, but the original design most often the best. Even with shopping cars, if the base model looks right it is good design. Add enough "styling cues" and anything can look good.
Original Fiat Panda? Cereal box but classic now - especially a 4x4
Does anyone want a bog standard Lancia Delta? anyone ? Just for the tip run? ......

I think the 456 is still a lovely looking understated thing. Only one thing that does't appear to have aged as well as the rest is the wheels, they seem to look small in the arches to me.

Agree on the wheels. Might just be a comparative thing as we all become immune to ever fatter rims. The F1 cars still use 13" wheels.
Taken in isolation I am sure I could learn to love the puny 17" wheels. Maybe park next Rover 2000TC to big it up.

A wide range of prices for the old 1990s 840s, from £30k+ for low mileage mint to £5k for a project. 850s a bit more.

Here is a lovely one, even with the original Nokia phone...
I do still love the look of the eight series. Luckily / unfortunately I drove very well cared for 840 and was crushingly underwhelmed. Expected that feeling when shrugging on a sharp fitted suit. Instead got cordurouys and cardigan.

@MarkMas that's where it suits me.
Having had one I would have another especially as i have a big garage here in France.
Well, seeing as Cambridge is not far away, I'm more than happy to pick it up and drop it off for you... Putting myself out and all that, ahem...
