Got out on the racer today for the first time this year. Blue sky, 11 Degrees, light breeze, fantastic. Only problem was everyone else, and their dogs, had the same idea. Walkers, joggers, cyclists, horse riders, cars
Felt free for the first time in months. Roll on the spring.

I felt the same the time the sun was out and I took the Strad for a run out, except my list went more like this:-
Cyclists, joggers, walkers, horse riders, more cyclists in a great big group :p

You need to man up! Do about 20 miles each week regardless of weather. Rain, snow, wind just part of the challenge. Does help to be in flat as a pancake Norfolk though....

Leave that game to the fanatics! I’m an unashamedly fair weather cyclist and proud of it. (And motorcyclist and Maserati driver come to think about it!)

I'm strictly a fair weather cyclist. If it's wet, cold or windy, I'm on Zwift!

I need to go out on mine and get back to boxing.

Do we think the gyms will be opening on the 8th March?

It’s not often that I go out on my bike (unfortunately) but when I do, it’s liberating - a simple, childhood pleasure. I know exactly what you’re saying!

Having worked out that it’s been 18 months since I had some quality vitamin D exposure (after 3 cancelled holidays), I’m going to make every effort to get out there as soon as I can.

Roll on the spring indeed, and let’s hope we get to race circuits/car meetings again very soon ...

If I ever get on a bike again it will have to be an e bike - just for the hills alone and being able to cruise past pedal power bikes while smoking a ***

So how many of the other mountainbikers on here have been getting stuck in since January?

I wear full ski thermal base layer, jeans (correct fit for cycling) mid layer on top, hoodie and a snood. Warm up indoors by doing some press ups and inch-outs and in good to go in conditions around 0C. The other day the wind chill was -7C and it got my asthma flaring up in the evening though

Photos from the past few weekends. I am very lucky to live next to a massive expanse of MOD land which they allow public access on to when they are not doing military maneuvers

Great photos. After too many winter falls on road bikes I’ve converted to off road for three months of the year. It’s a lot harder with more climbing and it’s a lot more technical at times but great fun.

Be careful in the south though on the roads. Spoke to a mate of mine who fell off on Box Hill in the ice earlier in the week and said it was a a bit comical with a few of them doing it.
