will you be able to do a bog standard one for those of us who just need to reset the odd light without the need to travel 100 miles or more to a garage?

I would waste 99% of its capabilities tbh.

Hi ,

We see the point but nothing is bog standard with Maserati Diagnostics , most of our efforts have been on the actual communication protocols. The task has been huge requiring 1000's of man-hours and expensive hardware purchases. The aim is to offer a cost effective solution solely for the Maserati aftermarket and will be built on over time. So to offer a 1% capability version would be a non starter and commercially unviable for us. In comparison to Maserati part costs and main dealer diagnostic fees etc etc. EasyMAS will be a bargain for those that want it.

Steve

How much will easymas cost? And which kind of dongle or cable will I need? Or will be also the hardware provided with the software?

I have just bought my 4200 and I have some issues with it. I cain´t wait to have a proper scan tool for my own.

Any chance to get it earlier than november?

The EasyMAS system will consist of all the hardware and software. A Windows tablet will be offered as an option.

We are working hard to get this on sale during November 2020 as mentioned previously. Currently working on software release version , online store and pricing.

Steve

Speaking of diagnostics, my '08MY QP5 drivers' side glove box sprung open and would not latch closed. When I got home I removed the top pocket leather cover by its two below hinge bolts and could see that the latch clip appeared slightly bent downwards.
So unscrewed the OBDII diagnostic socket cover (only one of the finger bolts holding in place) Down dropped two flying sockets connected to a single black canvass wrapped loom that I thought I might've pulled out when pulling down the socket cover.

Look as I might, I can't see where the blue two-pin flying socket goes, nor its much smaller black one attached to the same loom. Where do they go? Or are they part of somthing that's not fitted and therefor not socketed anywhere down there?

I can see that they were tied up to another loom in this space at sometime as they're in a loop. I've looked thru all the pics of the QP5's OBDII socket I can find but none give a good whole overall picture of that area ~~ Grateful for any replies ~~ Confused, south Blackheath

Said I was confused. The Electorial Commission (bless 'em!) put my ward (St Margrets) into Blackheath. We were "Lewisham East" (most famous for race riots in the 60s and Colin Moynihan MP the first Sports Minister and ex-Oxford cox)

House prices bounded accordingly. It was a mirracley!

Lost many a Sunday afternoon at the Blackheath Rugby Club (in Charlton) Played squash for them for a season

My ex now lives at Clapham Common (pronounced nowadays as Cla-aam)

What does your OBDII diagnostics port area look like please? Either those plugs just hang loose or go to sockets that I can't see

My port is on a support bracket at the back of the dash - approx. behind the headlight switch.
Maybe previous owners have left your port dangling instead? Can take more pics if needed:

A. Mick "The Munch" Skinner. Widely remembered for this tackle:

Although, not by the Loughborough 2nds scrum-half. Skinner had left Quins after the WRC and returned to The Club. After a year or so out after, iirc, a knee-op his first game back was at Lufbra. He'd been swanning around, enjoying the banter, when our 9 must've said something. He got well and truly munched - one of those ones where even the opposition goes "ooohhhhh"

It's not the OBDII socket that's hanging loose but those two plugs (one blue and square, one much smaller and black, both with two connections, both from the same loom) that are. I just dropped my digital camera and it's broke. So only have an olde sad 'phone to take a pic with. But will try a bit later when it's brighter.

>Can take more pics if needed:

Yes, if you could. On my '08MY QP5 the OBDII port is behind a plastic drop down panel that's also got some relays and other sockets on a PCB there. The socket that's closely matches the shape of the blue plug doesn't have any pins in it. Similarly with the small black plug

Aha... That's really useful, thank you for bothering to reply :cent: Worth more...
I'm not paranoid about things like this. But finding these unconnected plugs co-incides with a suspected clock spring fault (intermittent air bag warning coming on then going out again as steering wheel is turned to one lock)

Thanks again and... whoa! What was that...?

I have a product if anyone in the UK, Teesside area wants to see it. Make your own mind up. Dealer level (both masser and ferrari) for at a guess £200. I would need to source the heads again as I have had mine for a good few years. If there is interest I'll look into it.

For VW can't beat the genuine VagCom from Ross-Tech (needs Laptop)
For LR I use iCarSoft handheld (does Jaguar as well) but no print out or saving of displayed output
For Mas seems Foxwell is the one to get if unable to wait for EasyMas.
I think their dealer level version will come first though... this month?
