Well I thought it was OK....Its just entertainment not a car program. Ferrari are losing the plot for me......That car is a waste of time. All about the tech not the driving.

Agree about the Ferrari but they have been going that way for years and as long as there enough of the wealthy to buy them they will co minute to do so.

Agree, doesn't impress me Andy.......Tech for tech sake just to say look how fast we are. Driving experience comes first for me and you don't need massive horse power and more computers than Silicon Valley to get this. Casing point is you lovely SZ.

Chris Harris did state that the power numbers are now so high that they are becoming unusable for the average driver on the street, you might as well get a Suzuki Swift and rag the arśe of that.

Totally agree there is something addictive to ragging a small turbo charged engine and getting great mpg at the same time.

I thought it was OK. You know what to expect with it now days and normally quite funny in places.

I didn't see any of 'us' in the crowd though.
Maybe in the next one. I think the next one is the one with the QP in one of the challenges too.

I love taking the mic off my relatives who live in Bramhall near Stockport... they insist on saying they are in Cheshire!

It's a big thing round here , If you live north of the ship canal anyone living south of it will say it's not Cheshire , south of the canal is Cheshire , some courier address finders still put Lancashire for a WA5 postcode

I'll vouch for that. I have always been of a mind that you can't beat lots of cc's and horsepower. My Hennessy Venom 800hp Dodge Ram was mind blowing in a straight line - but ignored corners!
However having recently improved the HP on my AMG CLS63 to approaching 700bhp it is difficult to stop the rear end going adrift even in normal driving. Too much BHP and too much weight.
Next 'fun' car will be smaller _ maybe even hot hatch territory!

Mrs H has got a Polo GTi as her every day car and it really is good fun. 200bhp and front wheel drive is not great for quick launches (although it does promise a six second 0-60) but when the turbo spools it is plenty quick enough without hitting illegal speeds. Down back roads you can really take liberties and push hard.

And if that isn't enough, you can easily (and reliably) chip the engine - it's is exactly the same lump as the Golf GTI which has an extra 30 bhp and can be tweaked to near 300 with no other mods.
