Chris this has your name all over it, upmarket Naim Audio, Breitling timepiece and Mulliner seats - I think you need to get your cheque book out

This car raises an interesting question, as it was originally an Irish registered car (hopefully not NI) and imported into the UK if it was exported back to Ireland would VRT be payable - if not that would be a seriously cheap car here.

I doubt think they’ve aged well. They look a bit doughy nowadays.

The Automotive enterntaing sub-comittee might have some words if she sees the man maths. And it's hardly practicable for twice a week to Reigate and twice to Epping tube......

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH ;)

That looks really nice love the interior and I would say it's had a few pounds spent on it with new air suspension and brakes all-round.

I'm happy to lend you my man maths calculator deluxe edition which allowed me to offset petrol savings against my FF purchase by using the "if i don't drive it how much do i save on fuel" option. It's located between the sin, tan, cos buttons alongside the "if i remove the amg badges she will think it's just an e class" button.

I'd buy the Bentley or a GTS.

R8 needs to be a v10.

Nissan is a car a really don't like. Respect them, but I don't ever want one. F-ugly.

Evora - plastic inside and not so easy to live with in all weathers, all reasons etc.

I'd think about an auto GTS as you're using it daily.

Another vote for Alpina - a nice b5 or b7. Special cars.

Vantage - I know we have owners of these here, I had the early 4.3 on loan for a few days with a view to buying it. I got in in sold, got
out of it with my mind changed. I had bought in in my head before driving it so it was quite a change around to not go through with the purchase. It wasn't that fast, wasn't that well made and didn't feel like a GTS would. I expect that the later cars, especially the V12s a la Crud are much much better, but so is their price.

If I "had" to buy an Aston, I like the Virage and DBS but they start over 50k so off the table.

Actually, i'd probably buy a 911 but I know you're not a fan, which is of course fair enough.

So, Bentley or GTS it is for me.

You need the art of distraction, new watch, ring, outfit etc ether that or one of these upgraded mammoths calculators that some on here have.

I tried the just think how much we could save if there was no VRT duty to pay reimporting it back to Ireland, I got the but you still have to spend £35k that you weren't looking to spend !!

I think I need more lessons

I'd still buy another Bentley but with spotless service history and a full dealer health check.

When I sold my GTC I swapped it for a new BMWi3 and a wad of cash (was a great deal) however SWMBO (who loved the Bentley) announced that the only way she would be seen in an i3 was with a bag over her head. I thought I could live with that!
I didn't realise she meant a new Louis Vuitton handbag.

Depends if the exporter had claimed the VRT back. That had happened to mine, a car registered in the State, exported to NI, VRT reclaimed. It's marked on the car's record, carfax.ie I think it was.

Before I bought mine I looked at another Maser in Bluebell, Dublin, 17k euro, chap reckoned VRT to claim back on export would be about 7k Euro. Didn't know enough about it then, plus car didn't feel as nice as the one I actually bought from NI.

Might be a good excuse to visit the Belfast Office. If I get that far....

Discussed ^^^ up their somewhere. I get the 'Grace, Pace, Space' thing, having tooled around in my Jaaaaaaaag for 18 months.

I guess I just don't want to be graceful

Guess it’s a GTS or Bentley then,
One could be ruinous, the other could be ruined...lol..
Tbf, I set AT up, 35k, engine size greater than 4L and was surprised at how little choice “for my tastes/needs” there was.
However, as I do a 60mile round trip commute each day I’m quickly coming to the decision I need a Range Rover, as it seems they own the road and everyone will and must move over when spotted in rear view mirror...
