Just to clarify a couple of things. This won't have the same suspension set up as the stradale so will be softer, right? It also doesn't have race mode; will it sound as good as the stradale or just a bit more muted? I guess with the roof down you don't want it too loud. Also, I thought I read it had carbon ceramics but they look like steel discs?
softer, yes
race mode, no
sound as good, impossible (but hey, still wonderful)
ceramics, no, won't have

Thanks for this. lovely car but willing to pay less now I know all this. For some reason when I used to know a little more.about the marque I obviously mistook the styling to mean it had the hardcore elements of the stradale

Well by my understanding, it has the MC Fixed rate suspension, so is essentially the same set up as the strad.
No race mode, as its an auto anyway.
Sound - same exhaust set up as the strad, so I reckon apart from the gearbox difference and a tweeked map it'll sound pretty similar.
Yes, steel brakes.

So brakes and gearbox will be the notable difference.

As above.
It does have the Strad suspension and exhaust. On mine, I found it louder than my Strad coupe, but this is because the roof is down rather than it actually being truly louder.
For the relatively poor/bumpy country roads where I live, the suspension on the Cabrio was actually a bit harsh, as it sent shocks through the chassis - a problem the stiffer coupe does not have. So overall, if I were buying another Cabrio, I’d actually choose a standard Sport model over the MC version I had before.
For me, the perfect combination is a 2 seat Strad coupe for hard driving, and a Cabrio Sport for open top cruising.

Right on all accounts.

Personally, I think that is a stunning Cab and I would have that over the similar hard top Strad- which is also lovely.

I loved this line- “I found it louder than my Strad coupe, but this is because the roof is down rather than it actually being truly louder”.

Well, that’s because the other car is quieter because it’s got a roof......and the fact the Cab has the flexibility to remove the roof means you have the potential for more aural (not oral) stimulation!

SO, Overall, buy this and save yourself the money on another hardtop by putting the roof down for kicks and slowing down somewhat to alleviate chassis shock and put the roof up.....when it isn’t required.
