Hi everyone. Been a while. MakeshiftUK I'm glad the car is treating you well and you've got some shiny new shoes for it. V nice! V12V still going strong and definitely a keeper.

I've been looking for a GranCab stradale for some time but they seem very rare. This has popped up and my boss and I are considering shared ownership. Does anyone know the car? Any ideas on valuation / things to be mindful of / experiences with dealer they can share!?

I just found a great car on Auto Trader:

I’m after a Grancabrio centennial and Dickie is keeping an eye out. I saw this but isn’t it too new to be a centennial? Not sure.

Centennials were 2017. There’s is no such thing as a Stradale convertible. Think it’s really known as a MC Sport, being Stradale body kit on a Sport.

Thanks. I think I knew that. What I don't know is what is the difference Vs the later stradales other than the roof taken off? Do they sound the same, same gearbox etc?

If you click through the pictures it shows it having a back up camera but with the old tech....someone installed a back up camera on a 2017 but DIDN'T upgrade the head unit? Something is off about the back up camera. Any thoughts?

This is a Centennial and is the pick of the cabrio crop. But it’s not a Strad, as there is no such thing as a convertible Strad. For example, this car is an auto, whereas Strads are manuals.

But if you want a convertible GranTurismo in red, you’ll struggle to find better than this. What a lovely car.

"Pearlescent Red" - was that an "official" Maserati color? One of the expensive upgraded ones? Or is that just the dealer's comments?

Very curious how they got a backup camera image in the old school NAV system.....

Apple play upgrades via SM.

The paint is the centenary red which is a high cost extra.

If it was £10K less it would be on my drive now.

Thanks for the responses everyone. So it would seem the previous owner upgraded the system to allow for car play. I think I'm okay with that. Price seems a bit rich but otherwise a tidy looking car

Well now, that is just stunning.
Don’t know about the price but a bit of haggling ought to get something off!

I bought the Stradale from the dealer and found them to be really good. I took someone along to do an inspection and they corrected everything and the car has been sound. Sales guy was Charles or Charlie who left you alone to go over everything. Other stock is worth a look too. Good luck.

lovely looking car, I'm sure it would never get boring to see that in the drive way, can't see it ever costing peanuts either, so might be a sound purchase if haggled a little on the way in. I personally don't like those flashes on the wheel spokes, but a very easy fix.

Thanks for this re the dealership. Would you mind sharing details of who you had inspect the car? Will probably go this route

Yes, would prefer plain dark wheels. Agreed

Just to clarify a couple of things. This won't have the same suspension set up as the stradale so will be softer, right? It also doesn't have race mode; will it sound as good as the stradale or just a bit more muted? I guess with the roof down you don't want it too loud. Also, I thought I read it had carbon ceramics but they look like steel discs?
