M&S are doing some rather lovely Rose at the moment C.....Not had a bad bottle. Enjoy the G&T.

I have some Italians in the garage. Somewhat out of the blue I got an email from a company called Giordano offering me a dozen bottles of summer wine for about £70. At that price I felt it would be rude not to. So I wasn't rude and so far we are favourably impressed in the 'low level quaffing stakes' and the 'Really? This was less than £6?' in the sparkling rose.

Also have half a dozen bottles of Portuguese rose waiting in Brentwood which are similarly good. I do like a good rose :)

I have decide tonight we shall have a simple pinot grigio since it's squid with garlic, chilli and cherry toms on pasta, so no point in spoiling anything too extravagant.

Have a lovely evening!

Old school vermouth for me with a splash of vodka... preparing for a nice home made pizza from the garden oven as long as the rain holds off accompanied by a few bottles of Moretti or Nastro Azzurro

There’s something refreshing about rose which is almost translucent - hint of pink stuff. Don’t know how you control that technically - must ask my drinking buddy at Hebron Vineyard.

Yes agree my friend...Thinks it's because they tend to be more dry than that usual sticky sweet Rose. Lovely a refreshing and light.

I understand it's how long you leave it on the skins. All wine is made from red grapes. White wines leave the skins out. Red not so much. Rose in between.
