Morning, all. Today I shall mostly be wielding a paint roller. Oh heavenly joy, sing songs of thanks, etc. On the upside, it’s raining so I shan’t be going outside to muck about in the garden.

It's all down to personal experience L2S. That does sound sh!t though. (Not at the moment of course) Everybody slags of the NHS, but after our son was born 3 months early at 1b 6oz and getting him home 100% fit and healthy 3 months later, I have nothing but praise for them, but that's just my story. I'm sure there are people on here that have stories with plenty of warts on!!

I could share alarming stories about private sector healthcare as well. So much of it is down to the individuals involved, local management and prevailing circumstances. Anyhoo, seagulls are wankpot little bad-tempered *******, and that’s a fact.

No sparks flying at Crud central then Adam?

Aygo MOT'd pass just an advisory on the ARB drop link bushes so picked up a pair on the way home from MOTEX for £16, will fit tomorrow in about 10 minutes. I thought about how much Christine would get stung for them if she turned up at KquickRip etc. and asked them to do it? Probably north of £200...

Anyway we have now transferred it to her so she now has the private plate too!

All good thanks, matey. James' work has identified a couple of dodgy fittings, which are on my list of stuff to get done. Amazingly, he didn't even seem too terrified by the talents I'd deployed wiring up the outside of the house.

Back from trying SUVs with Charlie... she is rather keen on a RR Sport hybrid in autobiography spec... less so on the £99k price.

Volvo and BMW next weekend.

Volvo XC90 or XC60 Hybrids for the win. XC90 seems to win most comparison tests. And I think is still the only 7 seat hybrid SUV as it was designed with hybrid drive battery requirements in mind - they’re standard whether you need them or not

Good god yes Phil... would never buy new... unless numbers came up.

We also had a Velar and an F pace for an hour each.

Same underpinnings with the RR having air suspension, but the jag was a better ride. Both has the small 4 pot diesel engines which were rough at pace.

Trim was pretty close with the RR marginally better but not by much. Tec in RR was the same as the Jag except the climate.

Biggest difference was price with RR being 25% more. Jag also.due for face lift next year.

Looking at them next week... they will win with the safety, which is priority #1.

Most of the must have were extra on the ones today which will make sourcing one a challenge second hand (loads of ex PCPs with the look but zero equipment)

Morning all,
What did you think of the Velar, overall?

Morning all, Jeanette’s birthday today and our anniversary as well. Had a BBQ last evening to celebrate.

anyway people there is a petition here to try and get a reasonable resolution to the daft situation at Bruntingthorpe, it won’t save the venue but may save some of the irreplaceable aircraft.

Brunty petition

please sign it.

Have fun all...

The RR Sport hybrid was going to be our next family car to replace our current Diesel version, but we paused on pressing the button in February, and then Covid hit... will watch with interest to see what you end up with...

Newton, well done to the pair of you. Don’t tell me you’re taking the weekend off to celebrate..?

Morning Phil, morning all.....Decorating.....I hate decorating.

You and me both, mate. Bathroom ceiling. Long overdue tidy up, re-sealing around the shower tray, etc etc. I spent yesterday afternoon on it, plus dealing with some temperamental lights. Looks like the mice have been at one of them, which explains why it doesn’t work. I’ll be on the lookout for a surprised looking field mouse with his whiskers stood on end. Anyway, today’s job list is to finish that off and replace a fecked outside security light. There’s a list of kitchen related stuff as well. That can wait.

update - Brunti petition signed. Thanks for posting that, Newton.
