I know quite a few of you will absolutely hate it, but for me, I think it suits my particular car much better. There is nothing else red or yellow on the car and I thought the white would tie it in with the light interior and brighten the otherwise very dark wheel area.

My anodized red calipers were looking very sorry for themselves and almost pink in colour so something had to be done anyway.

As it was raining this week I decided to have a go myself using one of BCS's DIY paint kits.
Now, I don't know if it was the colour, a problem with the paint, or something I was doing wrong, but it was a nightmare to get it covered. They advise no more than 2 coats are needed. However, I had to do 6 coats over 2 days! (3 on first day, let it harden and 3 on next day)

Unfortunately, a late ebay delivery has meant I wasn't able to put the maserati script back on yet, but in black, I think it'll look good.

So..... . Is white the new red?

Know what you mean about traditional red or yellow so I went for metallic Maserati blue and like you, waiting on the script coming in white now since they sent it in black at first grrrrrr.

Yeah as Dicky said, the optional anodised finish fades really bad if anything other than water gets near it. Obviously one of the previous owners can't have been aware of that.

I like that, good choice.

Use some wheel wax on them to aid cleaning. Poorboys is cheap, easy to apply and works well.

Cheers.
Good shout on the polish and I had planed to put something on them but was waiting for the lettering to go on first.

Come to think of it, I think I have a little gtechniq c5 left over from doing a set of wheels a few years back, that should be up to the job I would have thought.

Gtechniq also excellent, but Poorboys is far easier to apply (in my view, at least).
