Oh they've got some nice stock. I like the Jag, they have a £30k GranTurismo Sport, and for the wealthier a beautiful Lusso (and I'm not normally a fan of white cars).

PH

Chuffing heck - a Lusso for £140k!

Andy, that F-types’s a lovely spec.

That Lusso does look nice, but I fail to see how it’s 4X + better than a 30k GranTurismo or better than a GTs Qp.
£140k buys an awful lot of diverse metal.
Maybe I’m not so mental after all.

They will have to start giving these away soon!

The Porsche 928 of its generation.*

*in ethos, secondhand values (I can see them sub £10k, simply because there are so many of them), and opportunities for bork. Certainly not as pretty as the 928 mind.

A nice car but a good few neglected dogs around too so you need to be careful.
We need @MAF260 to give us an update on how he's getting on with his.
Certainly an impressive place to be with a drive to match when I drove one.

That seems too cheap, even for a non-Mulliner. I wonder if the idle is lumpy. The pre facelifts have an issue with the vacuum hoses that's the variator of the Bentley world....

Personally I'll be going for a facelift Speed.

I've heard that running these are cheap as chips. Other than the Oliver Reed-esq drinking problem.
Until something goes wrong.

Then they cost as much as the aforementioned Mr Reed's bar bill for the week.

Not sure that's quite the case, although some of the parts are cheap if you get them in a VAG box, not a Bentley one.

I'm surprised and find my logical self thinking 'Hmmm, new tech, I kind of get Jags now'
...and my heart is still saying: W12, V12 and then a Maserati.....

Basically no '**** tingle'

In principle. Agree. However, tingle meter can’t take anymore jolts.

I get that. After having my XFS for 18 months, it's very good. But just not exciting.
Would I have one again. Probably not.
Would I have it's predecessor an E Class. Definitely.

I just don't think Jaguar make car that 'hit the spot' when compared with the opposition.

Jag F type or Maser GTS?
Jag F Type or Lotus Evora?
Jag F Type vs Porsche 997.2?

Wouldn't have the Jag over any of them, even though it's the newer car.

I think they are really really good cars. But found myself being surprised when I was told that a client commented on me (something like) 'swanning up in his posh car'. It's a £6k diesel FFS. If I'd turned up in a GT I'd have got it because I love them.
The Jag? Nope. I'm glad it's there. I'm glad it's cheap, I'm glad I can get in and punch the button and it starts every time. I love the enormous boot. But I can't actually bring myself to spend out to get the wing fixed......

For the many 6 to 7 hour journeys I have done in my 10 year old Jaguar it's a Great car and I'm more than happy with it.
For thrills I'm seriously considering a X150 XKR keep finding myself being drawn to them and would happily add one to my fleet.

My diesel XE was a fun car to drive on track and road....Proved at Llandow when I gave it a thrashing. But then it was back then hailed as a car that could out handle a three series. The F Type I also never thought was dull.....I think you would buy an F over a GT S if again like a Vantage you wanted a Sports car and not a GT.......Plus if you have an eye on running costs then the F would probably cost half the amount to run over a Maserati and the Jaguar is a daily drive I suppose so not sure many would have the Masersti and F Type on the same list.......Out of Marks list for up to 30k I think I would take the Evora for pure driving fun and the F as a daily drive.
