If we can't do France maybe the Isle of Wight; it involves a ferry and is renowned for garlic! It even has a short stretch of duel carriageway these days!

NO, No no, The Isle of Wight is a boring Big C conservative place full of six fingered freaks!

The Isle of Man however.... lots of bed and breakfasts, lots of pubs, unlimited speed limts and stunning countryside, and the Mountain course! @maverick and I were thinking of going for a tour there a few years back...

Agree re a Manx tour it is just the weather unpredictability; did nearly 10TT's and only had one dry one!
I did '99 when Joey didn't win but glad i saw him race! Legend! The IOM is far more interesting..Laxey Wheel p!sses all over Osbourn House! :saifi:

I'm pretty sure I was there that year. Terrifying. Properly terrifying. Honestly, bike racing pishes all over car racing for sheer terror, even as a spectator, and throw in mountain roads, no barriers, no run-offs and dry-stone walls and it's a proper pant-filler.

The problem with doing Fraggle Rock at the moment is they aren’t exempted from the 2 week quarantine, whereas The france is.

The F1 teams have said it scuppers the British GP

Pretty much.

I would guess the vast majority of spectators at Le Mans are British. As much as we like an extended weekend on the lash watching motor racing, sitting around for 2 weeks when we get home probably won't wash with most peoples bosses if everyone else is back to work.

Having said that, two weeks off after Le Mans seems just about right to start feeling normal again after that much alcohol and bread consumption!

Of the c 250k spectators at LM, typically about 80 to 100k are brits. Went up during the Jag 88 to 90 and AM Prototype 09 to 12 years.

largest contingent are French, followed by U.K. then Germans, Danes (Tom K legacy) then Dutch then all the rest.
