so you can SEE IT and you cant get to it, even worse, give yourself another punch:D, I'm not an expert on your car but i'm sure you might find them on ebay I'm amazed what can be found on ebay even the rarest of parts

Jump in the car hit the gas pedal. Test brakes with emergency stop when safe to do so. The cap should then fly forwards in the engine bay into view.

Removal tool skewer with duct tape reverse wrapped around it.

You have half a chance it may work. It will still make you smile if it doesn't :)

It’s fallen right through and is in the cavity behind the lower front grille. I can spear or capture it, but I can’t get it through the holes available!! I’m sure I’ll manage without it though, I suspect there will be bigger fish to fry in the future!!
Ah that's simple, smash the grill in with a hammer and you should be able to reach it. They are only a few quid on ebay so an easy fix, :thumb3:

Oooh, ordered one of those, very nifty for lost plastic items.

£3 on eBay for just the magnet claw tool, free postage. Search: pick up tool US Pro

got me out of trouble many a time, got a long flexi one with built in magnet, must have tool, even managed to get a washer dropped down a cylinder

Had one of the claw ones for ever. They are ace. Someone bought me a telescopic magnet with a mirror on the other end. How did I ever live without it! Apart from retrieving throwing knives from under the decking, it's great for seeing connections at the back of the audio gear in the server cupboard!
